NEW BRENTFORD BOOK – BRENTFORD REMEMBERED – PRE-ORDER TO GET YOUR NAME IN THE BOOK: Step back into the world of Brentford Football Club from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s – an unforgettable era when countless Bees fans fell in love with the club and the unique spirit of Griffin Park. Brentford Remembered is a stunning, large-format, strictly limited-edition hardback photographic celebration of the people, players, characters, match days and memories that made Brentford Football Club so special before its remarkable rise to the top.
At the heart of the book is a remarkable, previously unknown collection of photographs, brought together with dozens more long-forgotten and never-before-seen images. Together, they offer an intimate glimpse of as it really was: the atmosphere of match days at Griffin Park, life on the training ground, behind-the-scenes moments, the stadium itself and, above all, the supporters whose passion made the club what it was.

Former Bee and Brentford Ambassador Paul Buckle, who joined the club as an apprentice in 1987, provides the foreword. Looking back on those formative years, Buckle recalls a demanding but unforgettable time when “there were 16 of us in 1987 who all desperately wanted to become professional footballers at Brentford.”
He remembers the legendary apprentice ‘duties’, the relentless training and the influence of Steve Perryman, Phil Holder and Colin Lee. Yet beneath the toughness was something that has always defined Brentford: “a lot of love”. As Buckle puts it, Brentford was then – and remains today – “a family club.”
Most of all, he reflects on the lasting impact of those years: “I went from a boy to a man in those two years,” he says, adding simply, “the club runs through my veins.”
Now those memories can be brought vividly back to life through the photographs within Brentford Remembered.
Whether you have followed the Bees home and away for decades, remember Griffin Park with warmth and affection, or are part of the new generation of supporters spread across the globe, this book offers a chance to reconnect with a remarkable chapter in the club’s history.
For anyone who remembers Brentford in this unforgettable era – or simply loves the Bees – Brentford Remembered is more than a collection of photographs. It is a celebration of where the club came from, the people who made it special, and the memories that should never be forgotten. Brentford Remembered – keeping much-loved memories alive.
