One final post from Liverpool’s Strongest 2026…
This one’s for the people behind the scenes. The people who don’t stand on the podium, but without them there simply wouldn’t be a competition.
To our loaders - thank you. Two days of constantly moving equipment, setting up events, stripping everything back down each evening and doing it all again the next morning. It was hard graft from start to finish, and it kept the competition running smoothly all weekend. Si Walsh.
To our referees, & Fair, consistent and professional throughout every event. 👊
To , who kept every score in check, and , who kept the door running smoothly all weekend - thank you for everything you did behind the scenes.

Liverpool’s Strongest 2026 – Day Two
2026 was the year we moved from the gym to a venue worthy of some of the UK’s top Strongmen and Strongwomen. With a prize pot to match the calibre of athletes competing, , proved to be the perfect stage for Liverpool’s Strongest 2026.
As Event 1 got underway, it was immediately clear that everyone had come to compete. Every athlete delivered an incredible performance and battled through to the very end, making for an unforgettable day of strength sport.
Experienced Ladies
A stacked lineup of National and World-class athletes made this one of the most exciting categories of the weekend. First and second place changed hands on the final event, while third place had to be decided on a tie-breaker, proving just how hard-fought the competition was.
🥇 – 33.5 pts (£800)
🥈 – 31.5 pts (£250)
🥉 – 26 pts (£150)
Open Men
The Open Men’s category was equally competitive. Current England’s Strongest and reigning Liverpool’s Strongest Man, Joe, didn’t have everything his own way, with Jon Cross pushing him all the way to the final event.
🥇 – 17.5 pts (£800)
🥈 – 16 pts (£250)
🥉 – 11.5 pts (£150)
For the first time, the top three athletes in each category all walked away with cash prizes, made possible by our main sponsor’s generous £2,500 sponsorship.
