Today, the team from Greenbank Sports Academy were proud to attend and facilitate the Sport Experience Session at the Accessibility for All Forum 2026 at the M&S Bank Arena Liverpool.

Throughout the day, delegates had the opportunity to experience a range of inclusive sports, including:

🏐 Boccia
⚽ Powerchair Football
👩🏻‍🦼‍➡️Powerchair Hockey
🏀 Wheelchair Basketball
🏉 Wheelchair Rugby
🏃 Wheelchair Racing

It was inspiring to see so many people getting involved, asking questions and experiencing first-hand how inclusive sport can break down barriers, challenge perceptions and create opportunities for everyone.

A huge thank you to the Liverpool City Region Destination Partnership and all of the partners involved in delivering such an important event. As Liverpool City Region prepares to host more major events in the coming years, ensuring accessibility and inclusion remain at the heart of everything we do has never been more important.

We were also delighted to showcase the work that Greenbank does every day to create opportunities for disabled and non-disabled people to participate, compete and thrive through sport and physical activity.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stand and took part in the activities – we look forward to continuing to work together to make Liverpool City Region truly accessible for all.

Greenbank Physiotherapy Survey

There is a group of physiotherapy students from Merseyside Health Physiotherapy who would appreciate Greenbank Sports Academy’s club members, gym members, activity users and partner organisations to help with their research.

As part of there project, they are establishing an on-site physiotherapy clinic at Greenbank Sports Academy to provide accessible physiotherapy support for members of the local community and sports clubs. This will be based in the rehab room next to sports hall.

Founded in 2021 by lead Physiotherapist Ben Watkins, Merseyside Health is a local private physiotherapy company. The team is dedicated to providing high quality physiotherapy services to the people living in the Liverpool and wider Merseyside region.

To help them ensure this service meets the needs of those who will use it, they would be extremely grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete a short survey.

Your feedback would be incredibly valuable in helping them develop a service that best supports the Greenbank community.

If possible, we would also greatly appreciate it if you could forward this message and the survey link to other members, users, parents, and coaches. The more feedback they receive, the better they can tailor the clinic to meet the needs of local service users and wider community.

Thank you very much for your time and support.

If you have any questions about the clinic or our project, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards,

Lewis
