Our Cup game against Tyldsley on the 5th of September is still a go despite the season starting later. There will also be a social so keep your eyes peeled for more information!

We’ve also organised a final preseason friendly against Bolton to make sure we’re fighting fit for the season ahead!

Let’s all give a big welcome to our other new prop this season; University of Liverpool student Jack Whitfield! Cementing our relationship with local universities around the city.

In contrast to new loosehead Ben, tighthead Jack has a lot to say! “I’m delighted to be joining the club and can’t wait to get stuck in. I bring dedication, teamwork and strength to the team, but above all, a real love for the game. I’m looking forward to working hard, building strong relationships with the lads and giving everything I can for the badge. And if the old nickname “Twinkle Toes” makes a comeback along the way, so be it. Up the Sefton!”

Whether you’re lacing up for the first time, dusting off the boots after a break or hunting for a new club, we’ve got a place for you. With 3 Men’s teams and a Ladies team covering all abilities, nobody gets left on the sideline.

Here’s what you’re signing up for:
⚡ Two structured, high-energy training sessions every Tuesday & Thursday at 7pm!
🏆 Competitive rugby from September through to May, with games most weekends!
🎉 A STACKED social calendar!

Our Men’s 1st XV compete in Counties 2 ADM Lancs/Cheshire and our Ladies 1st XV are flying in Championship North 2!

Words from the new President of Sefton RUFC.

“It is a great honour and privilege to accept the position of Club President of Sefton RUFC.

I have been a member of the Club for the past 30 years, as a player, Club captain and more recently,
men’s HEAD coach.

SOMETHING I have noticed during my time at Sefton is the constant strive for improvement. From facilities, team performances, a strong women’s teaM and an ever growing
youth section.

Sefton has a strong involvement in the local community which is the cornerstone to any Club.

With the highly committed Board and a new coaching team the future looks bright and I am excited to be part of it, albeit in a different capacity.

I look forward to seeing you all down supporting the teams that we have and enjoying what the Club has to offer.”

Due to unforeseen circumstances Sefton RUFC are looking for a new Head Coach for the 2026/27 season! This is an amazing opportunity to coach the best Women’s rugby team in Liverpool!

We’re looking for a minimum Level 2 qualified coach & expenses included.
