The West Lancashire Golf Club was founded in 1873 and is among the ten oldest golf clubs in England.
It boasts one of the most natural and testing links in the British Isles, of which Donald Steel wrote "Only in Britain can one savour the true flavour of seaside golf, of which West Lancashire is a perfect example"

That attention from Stuart's team transforms the entire links experience.
The reimagined bunkering on the 2nd has greatly improved the hole, drawing parallels with Hogan's Alley at Carnoustie. Players must drive aggressively up the left or bail out and challenge the bunkers down the right.

Thanks to the strength of our other par 3s, the 17th rarely gets the plaudits it deserves.
It's a fine hole in its own right and marks the end of the scoring opportunities on the links. A par here is a job well done.
