August's 100 Club Draw Winners

1st Prize - £100 - 91 - Rachel Farmer

Great to have three first-time winners for the second time this summer!

We then moved on to the snowball draw with another £100 added to the prize to take it to a record-extending £1,200. Number 55 - Anne Birrell - was drawn out as the snowball, though Anne was already on the list of potential winners having been the snowball in January. The list of numbers with a chance of winning therefore unchanged: 39, 25, 16, 74, 55, 12, 89, 73, 80, 88, 85.

The jackpot number was number 68 - and so the prize rolls over again when it should be £1,300 (ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED POUNDS) next month.

With five games remaining, a mid-table finish seems almost inevitable. Even a maximum points haul from the remaining games is likely to be enough and Sefton require just four points from today's game to mathematically guarantee safety; today's visitors Spring View are much closer to the drop zone and will be looking to move away from the bottom two. Noon start at Croxteth Drive; "last hour" from 5.45pm.

Sefton 2XI are not yet 100% free of relegation concerns; Tom Rushton takes his side to title challengers Northern whilst Sefton 3XI look to solidify their top four finish as they host Wallasey 4XI on the lower ground. Both games are 12.45pm starts with the "last hour" from 5.30pm.

Not Sefton Women's day as they were well beaten by Rainhill in Sunday's Super 8s Plate Final.

Alex Woods' side couldn't force victory against Liverpool Lions despite bowling more than 10 overs at the last pair. Ben Lester scored 52 and Neil Lester 45 in Sefton's 193-9d from 49.3 overs. Ronan Brady took 5-65 as the Lions slipped to 143-9 but their last pair saw them through to the draw, just 9 runs short of the target.
