🏇🏆 NEWBURY RACE DAY SUCCESS 🏆🏇

What a fantastic day for two of our MSPC members at Newbury Racecourse last Thursday.

🥇 Emilia & Chilli had an incredible race over 6 furlongs, taking the WIN 🎉👏
They have now stepped up to the Dragon Race Course Series, having qualified following their Point-to-Point season.
What an achievement 🤩

🥈 Georgie & Buck also put in a brilliant performance, representing Mid Surrey in the 128cm Novice Race and crossing the line in a fantastic 2nd place! 🏇👏 Georgie rode her heart out and fought all the way to the finish.

Both placings are a real testament to the hours of dedication they’ve put into their fitness work 💪

We couldn’t be prouder of both combinations and can’t wait to see what comes next at Lingfield in October 🏇🔥

🏆PC NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

A little delayed in sharing some of our fantastic MSPC successes at the Pony Club Champs - what a brilliant week it was!

🐴 INTERMEDIATE DRESSAGE TEAM
A huge congratulations to our Intermediate Dressage team, who finished an amazing 5th out of 38 teams! 🎉

✨ Georgia Clare – 5th individually – 70.33%
✨ Ashleigh Douglas – 9th individually – 67.67%
✨ Daisy Challice – 12th individually – 63.50%
✨ Emeline Mitchell – HC – 65.83%

Ashleigh also won her warm-up section.

Jess and her pony showed great maturity in the Open Dressage to Music, choosing to retire when the atmosphere became too much for her pony. The following day they returned more relaxed and finished 14th in the Championship. 💙

🐴 CHAIRMAN’S CUP EVENTING
Congratulations to Allegra and Khaaldario, who competed in the Chairman’s Cup. After a lively dressage, they tackled a challenging XC course and finished their weekend with a fantastic clear show jumping round.
They were also part of the BE Southern Region team who finished 2nd🥈👏

🐴 100cm EVENTING
Well done to Libby Gallie and Lupin, who qualified for the Championships after finishing 3rd at Blindley Heath.
They were an impressive 2nd after dressage and thoroughly enjoyed the challenging XC. A fantastic Championship experience! 👏

🐴 PC100 INDIVIDUAL SHOW JUMPING
Well done to Chloe & Freddie, finishing an excellent 11th in a big class after tackling a tough Championship track 🌟👏

🐴 90cm SHOW JUMPING
Well done to Tallulah competing in her first big Championships - a fantastic achievement! 🌟

🧠 MINI QUIZ TEAM
Congratulations to Pearl, Frankie & Elodie, who finished 25th out of 48 teams! They had a brilliant time, enjoying the Fan Zone and walking the XC course.

A massive THANK YOU to both Gina, our DC, for all her support and encouragement, and to Vicki H for the brilliant Mini Quiz training and constant support throughout the year to MSPC members.

The MSPC team spirit was absolutely incredible, with members and parents supporting and cheering each other on throughout the Championships.

Freya S achieved her highest ever dressage score of 66.25%, earning a brilliant 6th place in the Specialised Ability Walk & Trot Dressage Test🏅✨

To top it all off, Freya proudly collected her rosette herself – a huge achievement & a moment to treasure. Mandy 🐴 was an absolute superstar throughout, proving what a kind and willing partner she is.

A huge congratulations to Freya, Mandy and all their supporters on such a special achievement. What wonderful memories to make together 💚

🏆 WHAT A WEEKEND FOR MID SURREY TETRATHLON🏆

What a fantastic weekend at the Pony Club Tetrathlon Championships at Offchurch Bury, where our Mid Surrey athletes Lucy P & Jess took on the very best in the country - in temperatures reaching a scorching 38°C☀️🥵

🌟 Lucy competed for the Southern England Stepping Stones Team, finishing an excellent 7th individually.

Lucy produced the best swim overall, completing an incredible 6 lengths + 9m in 2 minutes, and then followed it with a brilliant 1400 cross-country ride. 🏊‍♀️🐴

🌟 Jess competed as part of the Area 11 Mixed Junior Team who came 8th, gaining fantastic Championship experience on her first ever Championship course and only her second time riding cross country at 90cm. What an achievement! 👏

The weekend started with a practice shoot in the huge marquee on Thursday evening, followed by the competition shoot and swim on Friday. Then came the course walks & plenty of nervous anticipation before Jess and Sandy tackled the Championship cross-country course on Saturday.

They had some adventures but made it safely home from their first Tet Champs ride 👏

Saturday night brought the 5th Tet discipline - the party 🎉 A great night was had by all!

For Lucy, Sunday brought another early start with her ride phase. Piglet & Lucy stormed home and secured a 1400 ride score - fantastic riding! 💪
Then came the run phase for Jess - which, naturally, included running through the water jump!

The girls supported each other and their fellow Area 11 athletes all weekend. The team work and camaraderie was great to see and is one of the things that makes Tet so special.

Huge thanks to parents and supporters for keeping athletes and ponies fed, watered, transported and supported. And thank you to the legion of volunteers and organisers for another fantastic Championship.

This weekend, we’re wishing Jess and Lucy the very best of luck as they head to Offchurch Bury to compete in the four exciting phases of Tetrathlon - pistol shooting, running, swimming and cross-country riding 🏃‍♀️🏊‍♀️🔫🐴

🏆 Jess has been selected to compete as part of the Area 11 Junior Team, proudly representing Mid Surrey Pony Club - a fantastic achievement!

🇬🇧 Lucy has also earned selection to represent Southern England in the Stepping Stones 80cm competition - an amazing opportunity and one she should be incredibly proud of.

🌅🐴 MSPC BREAKFAST RIDE

15 members, a few older ex-members and our DC Gina headed out onto the glorious South Downs for a circular hack - and what a fantastic early start to the day!

The faster group enjoyed a couple of lovely canters, including one through a cow field with some very curious calves who decided to give chase🐄🐄

Meanwhile, our more leisurely group took their time enjoying the beautiful views, including a spectacular glimpse of the sea from the highest point of the ride. 🌊

A lovely, fun morning out with friends, ponies and some pretty spectacular scenery. ❤️

Huge thanks to Cranks Cafe for kindly letting us use their giant car park and for providing the much-needed (and very yummy!) coffees and bacon rolls afterwards. ☕🥓

🐴☀️ MSPC MINI CAMP 2026

What a fantastic three days we had at Mini Camp 2026!

We welcomed 23 mini campers, aged 3 to 10 years, with 12 staying overnight in the barn and a further 11 joining us each day.

Each day was packed with Pony Club fun, including morning and afternoon coaching sessions led by our fantastic coaches.

Mounted and dismounted activities challenged our young riders while keeping learning fun and engaging.

A huge thank you to our brilliant coaches - Vicki, Michelle, Georgie & Hollie - your enthusiasm for making every session so much fun, encouraging & full of learning. 🙌

It was wonderful to see every camper grow in confidence. Some rode off the lead rein for the very first time, while others tackled the Owlhole jump, taking an exciting step towards Junior Camp.

A special thank you to our older MSPC members, who were fantastic role models and gave so much support to our younger campers, both on and off their ponies 💙

When they weren’t riding, campers enjoyed water games, Mini Olympics and scavenger hunts. There was something for everyone, whether they loved competition or simply wanted to build confidence and achieve their own personal goals.

Camp points were awarded for all-round effort, including riding, stable management, bed making, tack cleaning and teamwork.

👏 Congratulations to all eight campers who passed their E Test – a fantastic achievement!
