The Poomsae Referee Department is proud to extend our warmest congratulations to Master 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘇 𝗥. 𝗔𝗹𝗶 𝗠𝗕𝗘 on his nomination as a Referee for the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships in Chuncheon.

This nomination is a well-deserved recognition of Master Kambiz Ali’s dedication, professionalism, expertise, and commitment to the highest standards of officiating in Taekwondo. His selection to serve at one of the sport’s most prestigious international events reflects the respect he has earned within the global Taekwondo community through years of hard work and excellence.

We are honored to see him represent our referee community on the world stage and are confident that he will perform his duties with integrity, fairness, and distinction.

On behalf of the entire Poomsae Referee Department, we wish Master Kambiz Ali every success at the championships and look forward to seeing his continued contributions to the development of Taekwondo worldwide.

Total Success at the British National Poomsae Referee Course

The British National Poomsae Referee Course and Refresher Course took place at Gorton Evangelical Church in Manchester on 9th June. Master Bilal Naqshbandi, an International Referee with several years of experience, led the course.

Among the attendees were:
- 3 applicants for Class 1 Promotion
- 1 applicant for Class 1 Refresher
- 1 applicant for Class 2 Promotion
- 11 applicants for Class 3 Qualification
- 1 applicant for Class 3 Refresher

Participants need to successfully pass the examination on BT Poomsae Competition Rules for Recognised Poomsae. Those in Class 1 must also demonstrate knowledge of BT Freestyle Poomsae Rules. All classes completed a practical examination, which included performing three compulsory poomsae, executing referee hand signals, and passing poomsae scoring tests.

The course will be held at the Bluewave Korean Martial Arts in Basingstoke on the Saturday 3rd of August and Sunday 4th of August 2024. The latest WT competition rules for recognised Poomsae and Freestyle Poomsae will be covered in detail, as well as an opportunity to practice and learn from Poomsae 4 Jang to Hansu. This will be good preparation for Poomsae judging and future Referee Class promotions.

Open to all British Taekwondo Poomsae Referee from Class 3 to IR.

1 point will be allocated towards the referee's licence.

British Taekwondo Poomsae Referee Workshop Opportunity to understand the latest WT competition rules for recognised Poomsae and Freestyle Poomsae.

We will be running a National Poomsae Referee course in London on Sunday 4th June. The course is open to new referees and existing referees for refresher and promotion.
