Would you actually know if you needed to register for Self Assessment?
It's not just the obvious stuff. Property income, sponsorship, coaching on the side - if it's under Β£1,000 total you're covered by the trading allowance. Above that, you need to register.
Interest income catches people out too, the threshold depends on what rate of tax you're on, and if you're earning over Β£50k and paying into a workplace pension, there could be extra relief sitting there nobody's claimed.
Even your own boots count. Spend Β£1,000 on kit as an additional rate taxpayer and that's a genuine Β£450 back.
If you're not sure whether any of this applies, that's worth a conversation.

Good seeing Frankie Okoronkwo from in the office last weekπ
Coventry are back in the Premier League. So is one of our clients.
Ephron-Mason Clark just found out what changes when you go from Championship wages to Premier League ones. Tax brackets shift. Agent fees shift. Suddenly there's sponsorship interest that wasn't there in July.
None of it sorts itself. That's the bit nobody sees on transfer deadline day.
Just signed somewhere new, or moved up a level? Get in touch, let's make sure it's sorted properly.
We've been informed there's a new boss. No further questions taken.

Carter Pinnington from West Bromwich Albion stopped by the office last week π
Always great having the players through.
Good refunds every year can feel like a win. Until HMRC decides they weren't refunds at all β οΈ
If your agent fees aren't on your return properly, that's not a bonus, that's a bill waiting to land. Interest and penalties included.

The real boss came into the office yesterday
Emergency tax code isn't a real thing. But try telling that to your bank balance the month it happens.
Every code HMRC gives you is based on assumptions, about your income, your benefits, your agent fees. Change clubs, sign a new deal, and those assumptions can be wrong for months before anyone notices.
Worth knowing what your code actually says about you.
Missed P11Ds. Undeclared agent fees. Refunds that HMRC are now clawing back with interest and penalties.
If you're an agent recommending an accountancy firm, or a player unsure your return is right, get in touch. It's free and we can usually have an answer within a day or two.

In Kenny's own words, Jack's garbage. But the team more than make up for it.
