We had a fantastic time at the KUGB (Karate Union of Great Britain) Karate Summer School in Lancaster last week.

Thank you to Sensei Billy Higgins, Sensei Jim Brennan, Sensei Frank Brennan, Sensei Garry Harford and guest instructor Sensei Caroline McGrath for their excellent tuition, insightful explanations and demonstrations, and their encouraging, yet challenging lessons.

What a great week with our KUGB friends and families - we look forward to next time!

We would like to thank the many people who left their thoughtful and heartfelt comments on the Red Triangle facebook post celebrating what would have been Sensei Bob Poynton's 77th birthday.

The breadth and depth of these comments reflect the myriad of lives he touched in his lifetime and how deeply appreciated he remains.

We remember our colleague, Sensei and friend with much fondness.

Last night, we welcomed Alfred Ohimain, 7th Dan, of the Nigerian Association of Shotokan Karate (NASK) to the Red Triangle Dojo.

He has been a visitor to Sensei Brennan's classes multiple times over decades, and it was a great pleasure to have him training with us once again.

We wish him a fantastic stay in the UK, Oss!

Congratulations to our 🔺 students who competed in the Shotokan Cup last weekend 👏.

Sean achieved 3rd place 🥉 in the Male Junior Kata, while Jack won a silver medal 🥈 in the Boys Kumite 10-11 and a bronze medal 🥉 in the Boys Brown Belt Kata. Fantastic results, well done both of you!
