Mixed fortunes for the club at the weekend.

On Saturday the Seniors got the job done against Cliftonville, winning both matches away and winning 1 at home and a half in the other match. Giving them a 3.5 to 0.5 win.
Absolutely fantastic result and through to the final at Scrabo on 6th September.

Unfortunately the Junior Cowdy team couldn’t overturn the 3-1 deficit from the first leg. They won the first match, lost the second and when the third match went 2 down on 16 the result was called. Well done to Banbridge who were deserved winners and good luck in the final 👍

Feel like I’m constantly writing this, but yet again, what a great weekend for the club.
After a successful Presidents Day on Saturday the club had a couple of interclub quarter finals to take part in on Sunday.

The Seniors of Royal Lambeg up against Royal Portrush. It was Lambeg that came out on top winning both matches at home and one away to take a 3-1 overall lead and now in to the semi-final.

The Junior Cowdy team took on Lisburn. 4 matches played. Leading 3.5 to 0.5 after the first leg. Lisburn gave the lads a great match and at one stage looked like they might over turn the deficit but Lambeg managed to hold on. Finishing 2-2 on the evening and 5.5 to 2.5 overall.
We now play Banbridge in the Semi final.

The one disappointing result of the weekend was the Rossmore cup. Trailing 3-1 from the first leg, the lads weren’t able to overturn the deficit and unfortunately exit the competition.

Tomorrow we have a couple of vital games in the interclub competitions

Seniors take on Royal Portrush, 2 matches at home and 2 matches away in the Fourball format.

Rossmore Cup team travel to Lurgan trailing 3-1 from first leg.

Junior Cowdy team take on Lisburn at their course carrying a 3.5-0.5 lead.

Good luck to all teams 💪
