🏆 A Week of Podiums for Agivey CC!

What a week for the club! On Tuesday, our Race Fit Mtb coaching sessions wrapped up with a final race night, with Donal taking 3rd in the men’s category. 🚵‍♂️

On Saturday, a crew took on the tough Cooley Thriller course, where Catriona and Karen delivered fantastic rides to finish 3rd and 4th.

The momentum carried right into Sunday at the Cycling Ulster Ulster XC Championship in Blessingbourne, with the women claiming top spots once again! 🥇

What an amazing way to wrap up the summer! 🙌

This Sunday!

Harps Cycling Club are proud to present a Lap The Lough For Rod Sportive event in memory of our dear friend Rodney Buchanan who sadly passed away as a result of a tragic accident earlier this year.
This is a Cycling Ireland supported event and is open to all Cycling Ireland license holders.

Event will take place on Sunday 30th August , HQ will be Ballyronan Marina (BT45 6JA). The distance for the event is 117 kms . Registration from 8:00 . Event starting from 8:30 onwards. Participants are strongly encouraged to adapt a 'sign on and go' policy.

From this event who hope to raise £10,000 with all donations going to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust . The Trust had been invaluable in assisting the Buchanan family in their time of need and it would be a fitting tribute to honour Rodney's memory by helping them with this fundraising event.

It’s been a busy few weeks for Agivey CC! Between the roads, gravel, and trails, everyone has been making the most of the last stretch of the summer holidays.

Our MTB crew headed down to The Gap last weekend for a fantastic time on the trails, topped off with a visit to Johnnie Fox’s Pub. It was great to get down and support The GAP after the tough time they’ve had recently with fires and thefts.

The roadies and XC riders have also been out in full force taking advantage of the dry weather, while a trio of gravel bikes even made the trip to ‘The Oul’ Lammas Fair’ to bid on a new steed 🐴

Preparations for Tae in the Pot are ramping up fast! If you haven’t entered Cycling Ulster’s Event of the Year yet, get on it now and make sure you don’t miss out!
