7s League Round 1 ⚽️:

A return to league action for our 4 2016s teams!

⚫️ Blacks

A tough 1st fixture for our Blacks against a strong Bathgate side - a closer 1st half, but not enough chances taken and a tougher 2nd half. A good challenge to start the season though ⚽️

🔴 Reds:

A good challenge for the Reds in their 1st fixture back also, against another strong Bathgate side. With no subs, the boys put in a strong 1st half performance, but tired towards the end. A tough game, but ultimately good to have the boys tested in their 1st game ⚽️

🔵 Blues:

Always a competitive game with Whitburn - a great performance by the Blues in a very close game - deserved more goals, but the boys put in a great shift ⚽️

⚪️ Whites:

Clinical performance from the Whites - some great finishing and a clean sheet ⚽️

⚽️ 7s recap April/May:

As we head towards our summer break, a quick recap of our teams across April/May ⚽️:

⚫️ Blacks

Mixed results for Blacks, but overall very positive - some great wins against the teams which were always close/tight results, and battling performances against those at the top of Advanced, pushing the boys to challenge for the very top ⚽️

🔴 Reds

All very competitive games throughout this period, with a number of draws but also some tight losses which the boys deserved to be on the other end of! Still some great performances throughout though (and been a very positive June thus far) ⚽️

MOTM awards - Kai, Kody, Fraser, Jamie & Innes

🔵 Blues

Combination of wins, draws, and losses through this period, but all very competitive throughout! Some games with plenty of great attacking play, and also other games with strong defensive efforts - great to see the boys all progressing and gaining further match experience, along with working well together ⚽️

MOTM awards - Miller, Coby, Nick and Bailey

⚪️ Whites

Similar to Blues, with mixture of results but all highly competitive - great progression across the squad also, and this had led into a very strong set of results in June ⚽️

⚽️ West Lothian 7s - Round 12 & 13 recaps:

⚫️ Blacks

A solid performance against Murie in Round 12 - a highly competitive game with some great play from our Blacks and high quality goals. Murie scored a few with their lone striker causing problems, but overall a great battle.

Round 13 against Livi was another great performance - plenty of goals scored and conceded very few. Boys lost focus towards the end and could have been more, but still a great performance ⚽️

🔴 Reds

A game of 2 halves against Livi in Round 12! A great start for the boys to go ahead with some great goals, and then the 2nd half with backs against the wall to hold on! A good competitive game.

Round 13 was an excellent performance against Mid Calder - some great team goals scored, and then very few chances conceded - great effort from the boys! ⚽️

MOTM Kody for Round 12 and Ben for Round 13 🏆

🔵 Blues

Tough game for the Blues in Round 12 against a Livi side who had a few players from another team helping them out - but the boys fought till the end to grab any consolations from the game.

Another tough game in Round 13, but after a slow start, the boys came back into the game and won the 2nd half with some great attacking play and resolute defence to keep the game in the balance. Great efforts ⚽️

MOTM Ryan W for Round 12 and Thomas + Alex G for Round 13 🏆

⚪️ Whites

A game of 2 halves in Round 12 against Livi - fantastic early start from the boys to go well in front, and then had to hold on 2nd half to grab a result! Great efforts in both halves.

For Round 13 against West Lothian, after an initial tough start, the boys took control with some great attacking goals and solid defensive play. They kept this up till the end - great performance ⚽️
