Making friends as an adult isn’t always easy… but this made me smile because there’s so much truth in it. ❤️

Walking into a class for the very first time can feel daunting. We all worry that everyone already knows each other, or that we’ll be the only new person.

But here’s what I’ve seen time and time again…

People arrive as strangers and leave as friends.

Some of the strongest friendships in our community started with a nervous first class and a simple “hello.” Now they meet for coffee, walk together, celebrate birthdays, support each other through life’s ups and downs, and cheer each other on every single week.

Yes, we come together to exercise…
But we stay because of the people.

Movement is just one part of what we do.

We laugh.
We encourage.
We celebrate progress.
We remind each other that it’s never too late to start.

I often say…

Train now for the person you want to be later.

That doesn’t just mean building stronger muscles or improving your balance. It means investing in your future self—the one who is healthier, more confident, more independent, and surrounded by people who genuinely want to see you thrive.

If you’ve been thinking about joining but keep putting it off, maybe this is your sign.

Come along. You don’t have to know anyone.

We’ll make sure you never feel like you’re standing on your own.

Healthy Gut, Happy Holiday

Summer is here… and for many of us that means holidays, day trips, meals out and a break from our usual routines ☀️✈️

But here’s the good news — looking after your gut health doesn’t mean missing out on the foods and experiences you love.

In this week’s newsletter, we’re talking about simple ways to support your gut while still enjoying:

🚶 exploring new places
💧 staying hydrated
🌱 adding more plant variety

Because healthy habits aren’t about being perfect — they’re about finding balance that works in real life.

It’s going to be getting hot again … but don’t let that stop you moving! 🌞

When the temperatures rise, it’s not about pushing harder—it’s about moving smarter.

Your body is already working hard to keep you cool, so this isn’t the time to chase personal bests. Instead:

✔️Stay well hydrated
✔️ Exercise earlier in the morning or later in the evening if you can
✔️Wear light, breathable clothing
✔️ Slow the pace if you need to
✔️ Choose shade or head indoors if it’s simply too hot

👉 Remember, movement doesn’t have to be all or nothing. A gentle walk, some stretching, or a shorter 30 min workout still counts and is far better than doing nothing because you feel you can’t do your usual routine.

If you’re looking for a safe and effective way to stay active, why not join one of my Pilates classes? They’re a great way to build strength, improve mobility and keep moving without overdoing it in the heat.

Or, if it’s too warm to head out, join me online at 6:30am every Tuesday and Thursday morning before it gets too hot 🥵

Most importantly, listen to your body. If you feel dizzy, sick or unwell, stop, cool down and rehydrate.

Consistency isn’t about being perfect—it’s about adapting when life (or the weather!) throws something different at you. Keep moving in a way that feels right for you, and your body will thank you. ❤️
