Meet Amanda Ramsden of Louth Infinity Football Club, this year’s Coach of the Year – Disability Pathway at the Lincolnshire FA Grassroots Football Awards. ⚽👏

Amanda has played a huge role in creating disability football opportunities in the Louth area, building a group that gives children with additional needs the chance to play the game they love.

But her impact goes far beyond coaching sessions.

With a shortage of coaches continuing to be a challenge, Amanda has worked hard to encourage others to get involved and support the project – while continuing to be there every step of the way.

Her kindness, dedication and understanding of the children she coaches have made a lasting difference to disability football in the area.

🏆 Celebrating a club that is making a difference on and off the pitch.

Meet Broughton Ravers JFC, this year’s Club of the Year at the Lincolnshire FA Grassroots Football Awards. ⚽👏

From just a handful of teams and limited facilities around eight years ago, Broughton Ravers has grown into a thriving football community with 17 teams, more than 75 volunteers, three girls’ teams, a Veterans team and a new Open Age team.

But their success isn’t just measured by what happens on the pitch.

🌱 An established FA Wildcats programme
🏟️ A brand-new 3G facility
🤝 Events bringing the whole community together

From their Super 6s tournament and Ravers Day to their Parents v Coaches charity match, Broughton Ravers continues to create opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in football.

Every week, thousands of people across Lincolnshire rely on 3G pitches to train, play, develop and enjoy the game.

Behind every one of those pitches are people working hard to keep them safe, playable and performing at their best.

By understanding pitch condition, usage, capacity, maintenance and demand, we can make better-informed decisions about where support and investment could make the biggest difference.

🏆 Celebrating a young volunteer who is already making a big difference to grassroots football.

Meet Lucas Short, this year’s recipient of the Young Volunteer of the Year Award at the Lincolnshire FA Grassroots Football Awards.
At just 15 years old, Lucas is already making a remarkable contribution to Broughton Ravers JFC. ⚽👏

As Chairperson of the club’s Youth Committee, he helps run the weekend Tuck Shop, supports fundraising events and plays a key role in the club’s Ravers Day celebrations and annual S6 tournament.

His commitment also extends onto the pitch, where he gives around three hours every week to support the U11 Raptors, U7s and U10 Rebels girls team. Working alongside adult coaches, Lucas helps deliver sessions and designs drills to help young players develop their skills and confidence.

Alongside coaching, Lucas trains himself each week and is also a junior referee, continuing to learn and develop his own experience within the game.

But what makes Lucas’s contribution particularly special is why he volunteers.
He does it because he loves seeing players grow in ability and confidence, and because he wants to support his club and keep doing what he loves. 💛

🏆 Celebrating a match official going the extra mile to keep grassroots football moving.

Meet Terry Spriggs, this year’s recipient of the Match Official of the Year Award at the Lincolnshire FA Grassroots Football Awards.

Terry officiates across a wide range of leagues and regularly takes on multiple games in a single weekend because he doesn’t want to see matches go without an official. ⚽👏

His commitment extends to Ability Counts football, where he travels more than 80 miles to officiate and gives his time without taking a fee or expenses.

But Terry’s impact goes beyond the matches he officiates. He is known for his approachable nature, taking the time to communicate with players, explain decisions and support fellow referees when they need someone to listen.

His commitment, generosity and passion for the game make him a hugely deserving winner.
