Great day on Sunday helping out New Hope Racing

Managed to come home with a podium despite suffering all day with a shot shock absorber. I have to say I was impressed.

Today is the biggest race on the calendar.

Going to be interesting to see how these new cars handle Monaco.

Weekend of endurance racing this weekend.

In Germany we have the 24 hours. Where a certain is racing.

Over here in the UK we have the 24 hours of . A race I have competed in. It's a great race and a great track. A few stars on track too.

Going to be a good weekend.

Great to see the at this weekend as well as meet up with some long time friends.

Great also to see the team at .motorsport at the event.

So after the first race of 2026 I will give my opinion on the new era of F1.

The new cars are great. They show some real promise. Especially with the active aero. They are also a lot more agile at low speeds and not so dependant on downforce to make their laptime.

The engines however are a different story.

Every overtake felt fake as it was just a case of who had more battery power and where. It was just a press boost to pass. Worse than even DRS. I also think getting rid of the MGU H was a big mistake in terms of both performance and eco friendly racing. I think there needs to be a major revision of the engine rules.

Last week was this beauty's first race. Good racing and great to see a third car model.

For a completely new car it performed quite well considering. Looking forward to seeing what the Supra can do at Bathurst later in the year.

Interesting concept from Ferrari at the testing.

Flipping the wing around to show the trailing edge, the thinner part of the wing, to the air and thus reduce drag even further. This does have the downside that as it is upside down it will start to make lift like a plane wing but there are several bright minds working for Ferrari so I am sure they considered that months ago.

Yesterday I started learning to drive one of these monsters.

It's quite different to a car, to the point of needing a separate theory and practical test to get a licence. Still I am always up for new challenges.
