More action at the SCG tonight, as our Midweek 1sts welcome Nocton Rustons 1sts to the ground for a midweek league match.

Itโ€™s been a long time since this side played a competitive fixture, way back in early June, so itโ€™s good to get back into action tonight.

Four changes to the side tonight from the one that last played on 4 June, as Joe Gilbert and Nixon Jacob come in to strengthen the batting lineup, while Callum McGilloway makes his Saxilby debut and Harvey Wooley makes up the bowling attack.

Tonightโ€™s match begins at 18.15, and once again the Saxilby Sport Hub bar will be open for you to get a drink while you support the guys in the sun โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ

A comprehensive win at the SCG last night for our Womenโ€™s Soft Ball Cricket side, as they beat Caistor by 58 runs.

Having chosen to field first, we took five wickets on our way to keeping Caistor to 273/5 from their 16 overs.
The wickets were shared around between the bowlers, with Mary Brookโ€™s 2/13 the standout.

The run chase was always under control, with only one wicket falling during the innings, while batters right through the order contributed decent scores, Sarah Petchโ€™s career best 30* was the standout score on the night.

A good win that restores momentum in the teamโ€™s push for the top of the table. Theyโ€™ll travel to Alford next week for their next match in this competition.

A first home midweek league soft ball cricket game of the season for our womenโ€™s side tonight, as they welcome Caistor Town CC Women to the SCG from 6.30pm.

After defeat against the table-toppers last time out, the squad will be looking to bounce back well tonight.

Three changes to the side tonight, with Alexa Davidson, Sarah Petch, and Leonie Spittles all coming back into the lineup.

Yet again itโ€™s going to be a glorious evening at the G, hopefully weโ€™ll see you down there supporting the squad in the sun โ˜€๏ธ

Itโ€™s been a long wait, but finally, seven weeks on from the last time, our menโ€™s Sunday side finally tasted victory again yesterday afternoon, as they beat Revesby 2nds by five wickets at the SCG.

Having been asked to field first, the innings got off to the best possible start, with a stunning one-handed catch from Tommy Parker off the bowling of Chibi Anandarajah (2/36) in the second over of the innings.
Wickets fell regularly throughout the innings, but Revesby still put on a good total of 172 all out.
Vrishin Dagar was the standout with the ball, with 3/28 from his eight overs, but there were wickets throughout the bowling attack and some very economical bowling, including six overs for 17 runs from Charlie Parker.

The run chase got off to a rocketing start, with 20 from the first two overs, and that momentum never really let up.
A 61-run partnership for the second wicket between Ed Brook (34) and Vrishin Dagar (44) took us nearly halfway to the target, and then a series of solid partnerships saw us to our target, with Aled David (20*) hitting the winning runs in the 28th over.

Weโ€™d like to say thank you to everyone who came down and supported us yesterday.
Being back home and having that home support means so much to us and definitely helps us out on the field.
Thank you also to the Saxilby Sport Hub and their volunteers for opening the bar all afternoon and after the game for spectators and then the players to enjoy a drink.

A return to home comforts for our Sunday side today, as they welcome Revesby Cricket Club 2nds to the SCG for a mid-season league clash from 1pm.

Itโ€™s been a tough season so far for the guys, with one win from six matches, but theyโ€™ll be hoping a run of home games will bring some much-needed positivity to proceedings over the next few weeks.

Three changes to the side this week, as bowlers Charlie Parker and Mark Plaskett come back into the side, while Tommy Parker strengthens the batting.
Chris Davidson also takes the captaincy reins this week.

Itโ€™s going to be another sunny and warm day, and the Saxilby Sport Hub will be open, so come down, watch some cricket, have a drink, and lend our guys your support; they really need it right now.

More hard yards for our Midweek 2nds on Thursday evening, as they were well beaten by a reinforced Nocton Rustons 2nds at the SCG.

Having been asked to field first, while regular wickets fell, unfortunately some big hitting came with this too, helping Nocton reach 246/8 from 20 overs.
There were two wickets apiece for Harvey Mellady (2/30), Paul Dewey (2/35) and Leonie Spittles (2/43), who all stood out on a tricky night.

The run chase was always going to be tough, and so it proved, but there were some green shoots of positivity to emerge, including a 92-run partnership between Captain Paul (51) and Will Lockwood (33*), along with a good 19 for Rob Honeyball in a total of 129/4, which would have been a decent score on a normal evening.

Once again not the result the team was looking for, but real positives to be taken from the batting for sure, as they continue their season next Wednesday evening.

Midweek league action for our 2nds tonight, as they welcome Nocton Rustons 2nds to the SCG from 6.15pm.

Itโ€™s been a while since this side last played, so theyโ€™ll be keen to get back into action and hopefully get their first league win on the board.

Four changes to the side that last played a fortnight ago as Harvey Melladay, Sullivan Pearson, and Leonie Spittles all come into the bowling attack, while Will Lockwood adds some steel to the batting lineup.

Itโ€™s going to be a glorious evening and the Saxilby Sport Hub bar will be open, so why not come down, grab a drink, and take in some quality cricket at the SCG.

A good result for our womenโ€™s Soft Ball Cricket squad last night, as they beat Lindum by 23 runs to secure their place in the third round of the East Midlands Womens Cricket League knockout cup.

Bowling first, we did well to keep Lindum to 263/6 from their 16 overs. Two wickets for Helen Plaskett (2/15) and one each for Hannah Bourne (1/20) and Mary Brook (1/25) were the highlights, along with some good fielding from the whole team.

A 49-run partnership for the opening pair of Mary (23) and Hannah (14) broke the back of the chase, while Helen bought it home with 15.
There was also an assured 13* on debut from Sam Cragg.

A polished performance that sees the team advance to round three of the cup, leaving us as the sole remaining representatives from Lincolnshire in this competition.
Details of the next round fixture will be announced in due course.

East Midlands Womens Cricket League Cup action for our Soft Ball Cricket team this evening, as they head to Lindum Cricket Club for round two of the competition.

After a big win in round one over Grimsby, we know Lindum will provide a much tougher challenge tonight.

Two changes to the side tonight, including a debutant as Sam Cragg makes her first start for the club, while Lydia Hopton also returns to the side.

Good luck tonight team, weโ€™ll bring you all the result news tomorrow ๐Ÿ
