Now itโs the turn of our Treasurer, Jo, to speak on her moments of the season:
โAs treasurer of the Lincolnshire Women and Girlsโ League, I spend much of the season working behind the scenes, supporting the league and helping ensure everything runs smoothly for our clubs, players, and volunteers.
My favourite part of the year is Finals Weekend. It is always a fantastic occasion, showcasing some amazing football and highlighting the resilience, strength, determination, and sportsmanship of our girls. It is inspiring to see the encouragement and support shown by players, coaches, and families across all teams.
It is also a privilege to be part of Presentation Day. This is a wonderful celebration of the seasonโs achievements, filled with excitement, pride, glitz, and glamour as we recognise the hard work and success of all our players.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to making our league such a positive and thriving community. Most importantly, congratulations to all the girls for their dedication, commitment, and achievements throughout the season. You should be incredibly proud of yourselvesโ
๐ฉท The season may be over, but we are still working behind the scenes to bring you our greatest season yet. We canโt wait for September! ๐

Time now for our Vice-Chair and Fixture Secretary, Edd, to offer his moment of the season:
For me, our U12 Trophy Final where North Lindum Hawks gave a guard of honour to the winners Lincoln Utd was truly very special. It showcases just how special our players are even after a defeat.
Also, I am exceptionally proud of having as many highly competitive divisions as we do, in which 2 went down the final day of the season.
๐ฉท Our divisions are forever growing stronger and stronger by the year and we have to thank all of our coaches, parents and relatives as well as all of our superstar players who give so much of their time and effort into making our seasons so special! ๐

Hereโs what our Future Provision Lead, committee member, Hayley had to say on this season:
โThis was my first season as part of the Lincolnshire Women and Girls League, and it truly feels like one big family. Iโve really enjoyed being involved in the festivals and watching the players showcase their talent while having fun.
Itโs been a pleasure to meet so many managers and coaches who give up their time to support their teams and players on their football journeys. Iโm also very grateful for the support theyโve shown me to help ensure the days run smoothly and remain enjoyable for everyone involved.
One of the highlights has been seeing the families at the festivals cheering on every team, win or lose, and helping to create such a positive and welcoming atmosphere. I also attended the cup and trophy final weekends, where it was fantastic to see the players walk out of the tunnel with pride, representing their teams and clubs.
I was particularly impressed by the respect shown by players, coaches, and spectators both on and off the pitch, as well as the celebrations for both teams when receiving their winnersโ or runners-up medals and trophies.
Iโm really looking forward to the new season, welcoming new teams and families to the festivals, and continuing to be part of a growing league. Finally, a huge well done to all the volunteers at every club who support girls on their football journey and help make this league such a great oneโ
๐ฉท We will have our festivals running once more next season, keep your eyes peeled for dates and registrations once the new season is underway! ๐

Next up to share their favourite moments from this season, is our Referee Secretary, Anthony.
โItโs impossible to choose just one or two, our whole season has been filled with hundreds of special moments. But a real highlight for me as referee secretary is selecting the referees that officiate our cup finals and then watching them in action. Not only doing something they really enjoy, but excelling in it too and knowing that Iโm playing a role in their refereeing career brings a huge amount of personal pride!
On a less season specific note, knowing that we are playing our part in the facilitating and building of the girls and womenโs game in Lincolnshire, is something I will always be unbelievably proud of. The fruits of our labour is seeing the girls take to a football pitch week in week out with beaming smiles on their faces!โ
โฝ๏ธ Our referee registrations for the upcoming season are open, if you are interested in officiating within the LWGFL, please drop us a message!

Over the next few days, we are going to share with you, our committees favourite moments of this season!
Kicking us off, is our league Chair, Lynn.
โI love the excitement of a new season kicking off.
All the hard work the committee does before the season starts finally pays off when those first balls are kicked at the beginning of September. Especially when we have new teams, and theyโre playing their first ever gamesโ
๐ We have plenty of new teams entering into the 2026/27 season, as well as over 100 returning teams from up and down the county! September โฆ please hurry up! ๐ฉท

๐ Yesterday we held our annual Lincolnshire Women & Girls Football League Presentation Day, which also officially marks the end of the 2025/26 season!
๐ Teams from all over the county travelled to Lincoln to collect a range of awards:
โข Sporting Award
โข Festival Winners & Runners Up
โข League Winners & Runners Up
โข Referee Awards
๐ We would like to place on record our huge appreciation for J & S Trophies for yet again knocking it out of the park with some outstanding trophies!
๐ We would also like to say a huge thank you to The Drill, Lincoln for hosting us and to all of their staff who worked so hard to ensure all of our guests yesterday were looked after and catered for.
๐ธ A massive thank you also to Photeam - Sports, School & Family Photography for providing absolutely stellar photos of all of our award winners, some of which you will see as part of this post!
๐ค A final thank you to our MC Christian James who added a sparkle of professionalism in announcing all of the days award winners.
โ As mentioned above, this now marks the end of what has been another superb season, we sure hope all of our players, coaches and families have all enjoyed it as much as we have!
๐ We do also say goodbye to two of our valued committee members, Kim and Stef. Both have given so much of their time to ensuring the league runs week in week out. Without them, we certainly would not have been able to do everything we have done over the last few seasons - Kim and Stef, thank you ๐๐ป
๐ค All thatโs left to say, is thank you to every single one of you that has played a part in making this season as enjoyable as it has been. We truly cannot wait to get going again in the 2026/27 season!
