That’s the whole point. Not one person here waited until they were fit enough to start — they turned up as they were and got on with it.

Ask half this lot whether they’d have done this six months ago and they’d laugh at you.

Still miles left on the day. Nobody finishing on their own.

Some of them hadn’t carried a log before today.

You can’t fake it. A log finds the weak link in about ten seconds — and then everyone feels it.

One of our members told me he had Parkinson’s.

We didn’t do sympathy. We did something harder.

27 September. 32 of us. 10 miles. 80kg logs. Cannock Chase.

They each put a tenner in, Reboot matched it, and we’re already close to a grand for Parkinson’s.

Nobody had to sign up. Almost everyone did.
