Another engine built and run on Dyno ready to race tomorrow at Cowdenbeath. Removing from Dyno Buggy for collection.

Annual calibration of our Dynamic Balancing Machine carried out.
Prices start at £50 for Flywheel and clutch assemblies. Full balancing with crankshaft and accessories £120.

Craig Wallace and his dad Jimmy were a pleasure to work with today. We made significant gains on the dyno with fine tuning on his F2. Now onto the building of quite a few Zetec engines for F2 and saloons.

How lucky are we to be working on another lovely Lotus Elan.
Carburation and Ignition problem.

Interesting problem this week. Lotus Excel 2.2 fitted with twin 48’s, erratic running and low pull away power although when revved out makes 160bhp plus on the rolling road.
Inlet manifold drawing air excessively at rear carb. Solution weld up outer of manifold where carbs fit (welding done by Alistair Scott Devine welding services Ltd). Port the 45 inlet manifold out to suit 48’s and surface level the mating faces of the manifold to the carburettors. Will fit at beginning of week and see what improvement there is running and power.

What a lovely car to work on. This Volvo Amazon was in yesterday for a dyno session to correct carburettors and ignition timing. A credit to the owner.

Busy week this week with these 3 cars to work on Corvette, Lotus and Mini. Lucky me....or not 🤔

Rebuilt F2 engine old school pinto, will run on dyno later tomorrow.

Another happy customer. 1972 Triumph TR6 fitted 123 Distributor and run on dyno getting best performance after making adjustments and complete engine flush and cleaning injectors in Ultra Sonic machine.
