OUR YOUNG BOWLER IS MAKING HEADLINES! 📰👏

We’re incredibly proud to see our young player Thomas featured in a BBC News article as he takes on something much bigger than what happens on the green!

Thomas is campaigning for bowls to be recognised and included in GCSE and A Level sports qualifications — challenging the education system and exam boards to recognise bowls alongside other sports. 🎓

But his campaign isn’t just about qualifications. Thomas is passionate about encouraging more young people to discover bowls, showing that it is a sport that offers skill, strategy, competition, teamwork and opportunities for all ages.

At a time when we’re always hearing about the need to get young people more active, Thomas believes it makes sense to give them the opportunity to study and develop a sport they genuinely enjoy.

And what better way to champion that than by doing it himself? 💪

From representing Bedfordshire to competing in county competitions, Thomas is showing that young people absolutely belong on the bowls green.

We’re proud to support him and his campaign and hopefully this is just the beginning of getting bowls the recognition it deserves. ❤️💙

👏 Well done, Thomas — keep challenging the system, keep raising the profile of bowls and, most importantly, keep encouraging the next generation!
