The Autumn Equinox ๐Ÿ‚

Before you move into the final months of the year, take a moment to breathe.

Not to think about everything you still need to fix, change, become, achieve or figure out.

But to look at what this year has already asked of you.

The moments that changed you quietly.
The choices nobody else could make for you.
The things you carried long after they had stopped belonging to you.
And the moment you knew you could not keep being who you had been.

The Equinox is a turning point.

A moment to pause.

To recognize what still belongs in your life.
And what has already done its work.๏ฟผ

So before the year moves into its final chapter...

What are you ready to carry forward?

And what are you finally ready to put down?

You do not have to carry everything forward just because it once had a place in your life.

Let the next season find you lighter. โ˜€๏ธ ๐Ÿ™โœจ

In 4 weeks time, on Sunday 4th October, Iโ€™ll be taking part in the Alzheimerโ€™s Society London Memory Walk. ๐Ÿฅพ๐Ÿฅพ๐Ÿฉต

Dementia changes so much, not only for the person living with it, but for everyone who loves and cares for them. Thatโ€™s why this walk means so much to me.

Iโ€™m taking part to help raise vital funds for essential support services for people affected by dementia, as well as groundbreaking research into new drugs and treatments that could hopefully change lives in the future.

I would be incredibly grateful if you could sponsor me. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference and help support such an important cause. ๐Ÿฉต

If youโ€™re able to donate, my fundraising page is here:

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me. Iโ€™ll be walking every step for my beautiful Mum. ๐Ÿฅพ๐Ÿฅพ๐Ÿ’™

Your body doesn't recover through stretching alone
Stretching can feel good
It can release tension
It can improve mobility
But looser muscles are only part of recovery
The nervous system matters, too ๐Ÿงฌ
That's where Restorative Yoga can help because fully supported poses reduce muscular effort and can help the nervous system settle

Thank you for joining me in tonightโ€™s blissful evening of Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra guided meditation. Over two hours of soothing and supported practice for nervous system health and relaxation ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ด

Happy Friday ๐Ÿ’—

Peace was never something you go and find.
It's the resting state your body drops back into once the pressure it's been holding finally has somewhere to go.
The physiological sigh is the fastest voluntary way there: two short inhales stack on top of each other to re-inflate alveoli that have started to collapse, then one long exhale pulls the vagal brake โ€” slowing your heart rate and nudging you out of sympathetic activation. It's less a breathing exercise, more a reset switch your body already came with.
Try it once, right now. Two quick inhales through the nose, then let the exhale go long and slow through your mouth.
Notice what shifts in your chest before you even finish reading this.
Where are you holding pressure in your body today?

Bhramari Breath or Bumblebee Breath, was our focus during Pranayama this week ๐Ÿ

The effects can feel almost instant. The gentle humming vibration and slow, mindful breathing invite the nervous system to settle, supporting parasympathetic activity and healthy vagal regulation

Bhramari is a wonderful practice for helping us release stress and tension, quieten a busy mind, and create a greater sense of calm and balance. Itโ€™s a beautiful reminder that sometimes, simply slowing down and breathing with awareness can profoundly shift how we feel ๐ŸŒฟ

So much of modern life pulls our attention toward things we can't control.

The news cycle, other people's opinions, unexpected challenges, outcomes we wish we could predict...

Yoga offers a different invitation

Again and again, the practice brings us back to what is happening right here, right now... to our breath, our physical sensations and energy, and the way we respond to whatever is unfolding around us.

That shift helps us meet challenges with a little more steadiness, awareness and intention.
