Hail u12 struggled to connect passes through court today. We are often making the wrong choice when passing- we need to think about who we are passing to, what strength we use, our accuracy and which pass is the best one. If we can build our structure we will play better. I’ve seen us play a lot more mature than what we did today so we can build on today and progress.

Twilights u14 had a great win. Some good netball played at times but as we say every week some ‘dodgy passes’ 😅. We started with a good lead and then lost it a bit, but managed to keep that passion to win going. Brilliant but stressful game.

Jets u14 put in a solid performance today to get the win, in what was a pretty close game. We held our structure and opened up our play to ensure that our passes flowed. Defence listened to advice and implemented it effectively. Thanks to Lois for stepping up too!

Storm u13 put in a great squad performance today. Nice and strong attacking play with physical & dominant defence. The quality of our team is that we can mix positions up and still put in a good performance. We just need to release our ball a bit quicker to stop us being penalised for a held ball.

Hurricanes u12 came up against a year 8 team who were just that little bit more fast and physical. I’ve asked the girls to deal with the pressure and develop their play and today we did that. We played some nice netball however every so often we deliver a weak pass, that in this league, gets picked up very easily by the opposition. We need to use our skills to overcome this and push ourselves. A loss today but we played well.

Stars faced a strong, dominant team which meant it took us one quarter to adapt our play after it being 11-3. From then on we were playing catch up but improved our game and played to our strengths.
We concentrated more on how to delay the opposition and create more turnovers which we succeeded in.
Overall it was a loss but we have positives to take away.

Despite a loss, lightning had their best game ever today. They have come on so much since before summer, this new under 17’s division seems to suit us - we mush have needed that challenge!
Team work was outstanding - all of the girls contributed to getting the ball down the court and into the shooters.
It helps they are a very coachable group who listen well to feedback and adapt to what’s around them.
And a bonus of no unforced errors!! Well done team lightning ⚡️
