Iāve been reading about dopamine this week.
Did you know even the thought of doing something releases it into your bloodstream?
Thatās why scrolling IG, watching training clips, or telling yourself āIāll go tomorrowā feels good in the moment.
But hereās the truth:
Thinking about training is NOT training.
The real dopamine hit doesnāt come until after the session.
I get it.
Sometimes you donāt want to go.
Last night I was sore, slept badly, and pulled me back putting trainers on of all things.
I didnāt feel like it either.
But I know from experience:
* Iāll feel better after
* Itās linked to my bigger goals
* The short term ācanāt be arsedā isnāt worth it
Not everything in life worth achieving feels good in the moment.
Hereās the brutal way to look at it: .
Imagine your kids, nieces and/or nephews are watching.....
What would they say?
āDaddy didnāt go to his kung fu class because he was tired.ā ā
"My uncle says he trains⦠but really, he just watches men roll around with each other on his phone.ā
Or your partner starts thinking...
āMy other half never commits to anything."
Ouch haha but you get the point.
Donāt just think about training. Show up.
