Meet the Team - Ladies Captain Mandy ⛳

As we celebrate Women’s Golf Month, we’d like to introduce our Ladies Captain for 2026, Mandy.

Although she only joined KMGC in 2021, Mandy has been around the game for over 30 years, first through her son who played as a junior. After retiring, she finally had the chance to take up golf properly and has become a much-loved member of the club.

Mandy’s Captain’s year runs from February 2026 to February 2027, and she’s chosen the Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Rutland Air Ambulance as her charity for the year. 🚁💙

One of the highlights so far was her Captain’s Day in June, which had a Strictly Come Golfing theme. Following a “123 Waltz” competition, members swapped their golf shoes for sequins and enjoyed an evening full of laughter, good food and even a spot of line dancing! 💃

We’re delighted to have Mandy leading our fantastic ladies section and wish her continued success throughout the rest of her Captain’s year.

Golfing for a great cause 🩷⛳

This Sunday, a team of local golfers will take on the challenge of playing four golf courses in one day to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Starting before sunrise at Lutterworth Golf Club and finishing at Forest Hill, they’ll also be stopping here at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club at around 1.30pm as part of their journey.

The challenge is being organised by members of our local golfing community, including Chris Sergent, who has spent the last couple of years raising money for cancer charities in memory of his late wife and in support of families facing incredibly difficult times. 💚

We’re proud to be one of the four clubs involved and to support such a worthwhile cause.

As an added bonus, Martin and the team at MB Golf Pro Shop have kindly donated five golf lessons to be given away, with a representative from Young Lives vs Cancer joining us at KMGC during the day.
