A moment of gratitude. Miss Lexie

Last night, she debuted our brand-new Senior Lyrical Troupe to our parents — a beautifully creative and moving piece filled with patterns, symmetry and stunning choreography.

Throughout the summer, Lexie has supported Fay, Abi and Claire with classes, choreography and the reworking of pieces ready for our new competitive season. Alongside this, she’s enjoyed taking open classes here at the studio, all while managing her own busy teaching diary.

Lexie demonstrates strong work ethic, incredible discipline and such a beautiful creative eye through her choreography. We are enormously proud of the teacher and choreographer she continues to become.

It’s been so lovely having you back in the studio, and we are incredibly grateful to have you as part of our DF family - do you really have to go back to Dance college 🫶🏻

Miss Claire, Abi, Lexie & Fay were back in the studio last night with the Dance Factory Comp team. Our dancers train weekly on their solo/duet/trios. Each week they are seen by a different teachers and in different studio spaces. It was lovely to see our dancers back at team practice. The juniors started a new troupe, inters & seniors worked on re spacing our song & dance troupe/Acro/Ballet troupes. We also had a check in with all dancers before starting our lists for new dances. Just wanted to give a big shoutout to my acro assistants. Classes just would not be possible without them.

They have to work really hard and put up with me giving them clear and sometimes quite firm instruction on how to handle dancers safely and correctly in basic tricks. They also have to know how to give the dancers the corrections that I am constantly drilling into them to say. You can see here assistants telling dancers to start in the correct position, keep their arms strong and in the correct place, recover with their arms in the right place, keep their heels down, stretch their legs. All whilst being ready if something should not go to plan.

They really do an amazing job and take their roles very seriously 😍 Miss Abi x
