Today, the FAI proudly stands with the FIA and the United Against Online Abuse (UAOA) campaign to say NO to online abuse in sport.

British Skydiving can confirm that a fatal incident occurred yesterday involving an experienced skydiver at Langar Airfield.

A British Skydiving Board of Inquiry will now be convened to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. Once completed, a full report will be submitted to the Coroner, the Police, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the British Skydiving Safety & Training Committee (STC), and any other relevant authorities.

The report will include the Board’s conclusions and any recommendations, where appropriate.

Our thoughts are with the family, friends, the team at Skydive Langar and all those affected at this difficult time.

We recognise that incidents such as this can have a profound impact on those involved, those who witnessed the event, and the wider skydiving community.
