Road trippin' to Warwick (Coventry? 🥴) for a sunny game of hockey ☀️. A difficult game but OldBags looked good out there 😎. A player down, but did so well to hold the defense, and get a short corner goal from Andrew Hutchinson .

No game for us next week, which means we have an extra week to rest our old achey legs 🧓🏻

This week we play Uni of Warwick in what we think is their first game in the Leicestershire & Rutland Mixed hockey league. And it also means leaving the county 🫨.

Ready to start the season again in a couple of weeks time. We have an extra 30 minutes on the astro this year with coach .lats. We will be training with South Wigston Hockey Club and Police again this year. We love the opportunity to practice our basics, learn new skills and get to know our teammates.

What does and OldBags Mixed Hockey have in common? 🤔

We always need more volunteers! 🦺

An Oldbag parkrun finally made it out of the Strava chat! Perfect weather for it ☀️. We loved cheering on the runners who put in an excellent effort in the hot heat and meeting lots of other friendly volunteers who helped us with our individual roles. Thank you leicestervictoriaparkrun for being so welcoming. 🩷

If you're thinking of trying out a parkrun either as a runner or volunteer you definitely should! It's fun, easy to join and you earn bragging rights all weekend. 🏃🏻
*** if you want The clipboard authority, you need to do Number Checker, not tail walker***

You can join our Strava and every Saturday at Leicester Old Bags Mixed Hockey.

And as always, we are always on the lookout for new players. Drop us a message for more information 🙂

HAPPY TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO THE OLDBAGS! 🤩

10 years older and more experienced but some things never change, and we would never want them to!

Some more nostalgia will come over the following weeks as I got too distracted by the OldBags V. Old OldBags game at the weekend to do much oooops..!  But it was very fun and made me remember how special it is to be a part of the OldBags. 🥰

Playing with people who made the club what it is Today at the weekend was a perfect Saturday. 🩷

Thank you to everyone who has ever stepped into a less preferred position, tagged along for 'just one game' and stayed, or just been a part of this very special journey from a small group of hockey friends to a vibrant hockey club. 🎉

*and disclaimer for poor Dale, he did not have any OldBags kit as it's only his second game!
