A really positive test and another step forward in our preseason preparations. The commitment, work rate and togetherness shown by the squad gave us plenty to build on heading into the weeks ahead.

✍️ NEW SIGNINGS | Mike Gitonga & Rob Hastings

We’re delighted to welcome Mike Gitonga and Rob Hastings to Friar Lane & Epworth FC.

Mike joins us as a dominant centre-back, bringing strength, quality and a commanding presence at the heart of the defence. His physicality and determination will be a huge asset to the squad this season.

Rob Hastings returns to the club after previously representing the Lane. A composed and reliable defender, Rob brings solidity, quality and valuable experience back into the squad, and we’re delighted to welcome him home.

🚨 TRIPLE SIGNING COMPLETE 🟠⚫

We’re delighted to welcome Samir El Hachimi, Brad Young, and Ilyas Boumehdi to Friar Lane & Epworth FC ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Samir El Hachimi joins the club as an experienced defender, having played professionally across Europe. His versatility, leadership and experience will be a huge asset both on and off the pitch.

Brad Young is an energetic defender/midfielder who thrives on breaking up play with composure and poise. His work rate, quality on the ball and determination will strengthen the squad.

Ilyas Boumehdi is a talented winger with the pace, flair and quality to make the difference in the final third. A constant attacking threat, we’re excited to see what he brings in black and orange.

A massive welcome to all three lads. We can’t wait to see them in action this season. 🧡🖤
