Stamford Indoor Bowls Club will be welcoming visitors on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, with free taster sessions available from 10am to 4pm at Exeter Gardens, Stamford.

People of all ages and abilities are invited to come along, meet the team, and enjoy a friendly introduction to indoor bowls. Coaches will be on hand throughout the weekend, offering guidance and support, with equipment provided to help newcomers give the sport a try.

Visitors can enjoy both social and competitive bowling, and make new connections. The café will be open, and free parking is available on site.

Whether you’re completely new to bowls or simply curious, it’s a great opportunity to see what the sport has to offer and discover a welcoming community at Stamford Indoor Bowls Club.

Egham indoor bowls club are hosting a series of Open Days this September. The club will be welcoming newcomers of any age and any ability to come along and give indoor bowls a try. All you need is some flat soled shoes.

The Open Days on Sunday 13th, Saturday 19th, and Sunday 20th, from 10am to 4pm, the club will be opening its doors at its home on Wesley Drive, Manorcrofts Road, Egham TW20 9LX. There will be free tuition and the chance to step onto the green and experience the sport of bowls for yourself.

You can simply turn up on the day and club members will be on hand throughout to offer guidance, answer questions, and help you get started, and refreshments will be provided too.

Bristol Indoor Bowls Club are hosting an Open Day this weekend on Sunday 6 September, between 10am and 4pm.

Everyone’s welcome to come along and try indoor bowls for free. You do not need any experience to have a go and all equipment is provided! Friendly coaches are ready to help you get started and a free hot drink awaits every visitor, but you can always visit our licensed bar too.

The English Indoor Bowling Association is delighted to announce a new partnership with Bullion House, a London based gold and precious metal dealer.

Banister Park Bowling Club is welcoming visitors for their Indoor Bowls Open Days on 12th and 13th September, and everyone is invited to come along and give bowls a try.

Whether you’re completely new to the sport and curious to try it, or looking to return to the sport, it’s a brilliant chance to discover how enjoyable, social and accessible bowls can be with a warm introduction to the game.

The club will be open from 10.30am to 4.00pm on both days, with refreshments available and plenty of opportunities to have a go. There’s no cost, no experience needed, and all ages are welcome – all you need is to just bring a pair of flat‑soled shoes.

We’re delighted to share that entries for our 2026/27 National Competitions have increased by over 9%, reflecting the continued growth strength of our sport.

This season has seen record numbers in our Novice Singles, Family Pairs, Open Pairs, and Men’s 2 Bowl Singles. We’re also proud to report significant growth in our Under 25s competition, with entries rising by 10% in the Men’s and 18% in the Women’s, which bodes well for the future of indoor bowls.

These increases follow on from record participation in our 2026 Summer Nationals, showing that indoor bowls is thriving all year round and continues to prove itself as a sport for all.

Whether you’re discovering the game for the first time or returning for another competitive season, there’s never been a better moment to get on the green. Thank you to every player, volunteer, coach and club helping us grow the sport we love.
