We’re halfway through Disability Pride Month, and it’s the perfect time to look back on one of the highlights from our National Finals back in April.
Our Para Pathway event was a fantastic showcase of the talent, dedication and progress of players who are in and around the international team. It was inspiring to see so many bowlers demonstrating their skills and highlighting the strength of Para bowls.
We’re also looking ahead with excitement as our Para players prepare to represent Team England at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. We wish every one of them the very best of luck - we’ll be cheering you all on!

Ahead of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games starting next week, Team England's Sian Honnor shared some of her memories from past Commonwealth Games in a recent piece for Bowls International.

Every Commonwealth Games leaves athletes with different memories, but many of the themes remain the same.

The excitement of representing your country, sharing a village with athletes from across the Commonwealth, the support of volunteers, and introducing bowls to people experiencing the sport for the very first time all make the Games unlike any other event on the calendar.

Reflecting on four Commonwealth Games, England gold medallist and former Bowls International editor Sian Honnor describes how each Games brought its own challenges, friendships and unforgettable moments, while highlighting the unique opportunity the Commonwealth Games provides to showcase bowls to new audiences.

As Glasgow 2026 approaches, it's a timely reminder of why the Games remain such a significant occasion for our sport.
