Saturday saw a fantastic night of celebration at our Presentation Evening.

Congratulations to all of this season’s award winners:

Broken Player of the Year
Carl Durham

Despite his setbacks, Carl continued to put his hand up for the team whenever possible. Not only supporting on the pitch, but playing a big role off it too.

Management Team’s Player of the Year & Players’ Player of the Year
Alex Madden

A double award winner on the night. Alex was recognised by both the management team and his fellow players after an outstanding season.

To be acknowledged by the management team is testament to his commitment, consistency and performances throughout the year. To be voted Players’ Player shows the respect and appreciation he has earned from the lads alongside him every week.

Young Player of the Year
Niall

Niall picked up Young Player of the Year after a season of adapting wherever the team needed him and always giving 100% for the shirt.

His eagerness to learn, willingness to listen and determination to improve make him a fantastic asset to the club.

Top Try Scorer
Craig Caunt

Craig had a huge role in the team’s attacking success throughout the year and was recognised as this season’s Top Try Scorer.

1st Team Ties
Carl, Shane & Alex Madden

Carl, Shane and Alex Madden were awarded their 1st Team Ties after reaching the milestone required to earn this recognition.

A 1st Team Tie is not simply given. It is earned through commitment, consistency and representing the club at the highest level over a sustained period.

Reaching this milestone is a significant achievement and reflects the dedication each player has shown to the Jimmies shirt. Congratulations to all three on a well-deserved honour.

John Lewin

A well-deserved award, with some lovely words said about John on the night.

Congratulations again to every winner, and thank you to everyone who made the evening what it was.

Aylestone St James RFC are recruiting a men’s Head Coach to deliver the club’s objectives for the 2026/27 season and beyond

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced men’s Head Coach to help us compete in the National League pyramid

We are looking for a coach who will be pro-active in delivering on the club aims, with the support of the committee and senior playing members.

We have a desire to bring through a new generation of players who are after a fun, friendly and competitive brand of rugby.

A Level 2 coaching certificate (or international equivalent) is required

We own and operate our own multi-use clubhouse, which gives us a great platform to contribute to the local community and offer something many clubs in the area cannot
