British Masters Cycle Racing - BMCR
CYCLOCROSS riders and fans, great news and announcement.
We have a cyclocross series up and running for this coming season.
It's been in the planning a long time and we can now offer a 4 round series with the final event to include the BMCR NATIONAL Championship as last year.
I'm hoping you will support this and help to build on it and potential organisers are welcome to come along and see and chat to me about next year.
So, all events will be on a Saturday so you can still race your local league events, and will also precede a local event at the same venue held on the following day.
Details will be on riderhq and the first round is listed.
Although an early start for that one the following 3 round will all be 1pm start time.
Round 1. Pittville Park, Cheltenham Saturday September 26th.
Round 2. Misterton Hall, Leicestershire. Saturday October 10th.
Round 3. Kilworth, Leicestershire. Saturday October 24th.
Round 4. Incorporating National Champs. Kilworth, Leicestershire. Saturday November 14th.
All events have a BC league race on the same course on the Sunday so you can "double up"
Overall prize pot for each category, see you all there.

The Leicestershire Cyclo-cross League is made possible each year by an incredible community of volunteers.
Come rain or shine, volunteers from our promoting clubs, committee and officials give their time, energy and care to help make the league what it is today.
Since the league began in 2017, they have given thousands of hours to help it grow, thrive and bring our cyclo-cross community together.
THANK YOU from the LCXL

🚨 CROSS COUNTRY RACE ALERT 🚨
Our first race is rolling up on 17th May at Walesby Forest 🌲 and yes… those juicy BC ranking points are up for grabs 👀
BUT… slight problem. Entries are currently lower than your tyre pressure after a dodgy line choice 😬
So here’s the deal: if we don’t hit 200 entries by Tuesday 5th May, I’m pulling the plug on ALL XC racing this summer. Yep. Gone. Vanished. Into the mud. 💀
Don’t be that rider who says “I was gonna enter…”
👉 Head over and get signed up NOW before I start replacing start lines with picnics instead. 🧺

Our good friends Lincolnshire Cyclo Cross Association have shared next seasons events - note the rule change regarding ranking points.
With just over 5 months to go, we're pleased to share with you our calendar for the upcoming 2026 - 2027 season.
You may notice it looks a little different to normal and that is because British Cycling have decided not to give national ranking points to any regional event that is held on the same weekend as as the National Trophy dates. This is to help encourage participation in Trophies. With removal of points for races it could well reduce the field sizes and as Lincolnshire isn't blessed with huge field sizes, we will not hold any races on National Trophy weekends this season.
The benefit of this change it it will maximise national ranking points for those riders amongst you that compete at the national trophies and champs, as you now have 9 local events you can score points at.
We are pleased to announce we are holding our prices for another season with our outstanding value of just £3 a race for all Under 9, Under 12 and Youth riders entered in advance. Then it is £10 for juniors and £19 for all Senior and Masters riders. Our novice entry price also remains at just £5.
We wish you a great summer and we look forward to hopefully seeing you all on the start line in September.
