πΎ ππ’ π¬π’π¨ ππ‘π’πͺ π¬π’π¨π₯ πͺπ’π₯ππ π§ππ‘π‘ππ¦ π‘π¨π πππ₯ (πͺπ§π‘)?
A club member recently asked about their World Tennis Number (WTN).
Your WTN is a rating designed to help players find opponents of a similar standard. It ranges from 40 (lower level) to 1 (highest level), with separate ratings for Singles and Doubles.
π ππ’πͺ π§π’ πππ‘π π¬π’π¨π₯ πͺπ§π‘
It's easy:
1οΈβ£ Log in to your LTA Advantage account.
2οΈβ£ Go to My Game.
3οΈβ£ Your WTN should be displayed on your My Game dashboard.
4οΈβ£ Where applicable, you will see separate Singles and Doubles numbers.
β ππ¦ π¬π’π¨π₯ πͺπ§π‘ π¦ππ’πͺππ‘π ππ¦ π°π¬.π΅?
If you're an adult player and your WTN hasn't yet been activated, the LTA says you can select "Activate your WTN" in My Game and complete the five-question questionnaire.
Your WTN should then be allocated within 5β10 minutes.
π‘ Don't worry if your WTN doesn't seem quite right at first. Your rating is designed to become more accurate as you play and your match results are recorded. It is updated regularly.
πΎ πͺππ¬ ππ¦ πͺπ§π‘ π¨π¦πππ¨π?
WTN can help players:
β’ Find players of a similar standard
β’ Get more competitive and enjoyable matches
β’ Enter competitions and events where WTN is used
β’ Compare your Singles and Doubles playing levels

π§ Leaks banished!
Our new storeroom roof has passed its first real test with flying colours! π§οΈ
The recent downpours were no match for it, with not a single drop making its way into the store. A big thank you to Total Asbestos Solutions, who removed the old roof and installed the new one β all in a morningβs work!
Weβve also gained some new vents to improve air circulation and, as an added bonus, TAS raised the roof slightly so that the storeroom entrance door now opens to its full extent. π
Another little improvement that will make a big difference to the club. πΎ

πΎ Wimbledon dream come true! πΎ
Huge congratulations to Nicola and Amelie on reaching the Play Your Way to Wimbledon Finals! ππΎ
Earlier this month, they travelled to the world-famous Wimbledon venue to play on the hallowed grass courts β an experience they will never forget.
They enjoyed a fantastic couple of days, including overnight accommodation, access to the playersβ facilities and tours of the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
But the highlight of all was stepping onto those perfect Wimbledon grass courts β and, even better, winning a match! π
Not many people can say they have played at Wimbledon and won!
What an incredible achievement. Well done, Nicola and Amelie β weβre incredibly proud of you both! πππΎ

Thank you to the organisers of Cosby Yarn Bomb for giving ELTC the opportunity to run today's Community Cafe. We had a very busy but enjoyable day and we are delighted to have raised an incredible Β£641 for the club!!
Thank you also to all members and parents of juniors who supported us by volunteering to help in the cafe, baking/donating the delicious cakes and treats, and to everyone who came along on the day and supported the club.
In spite of a large selection of cakes and sausage rolls at the start of the day, further donations throughout the day by visiting members, and several shopping trips to top-up supplies as needed, we managed to sell everything except 1 jam tart and a couple of sausage rolls!
Thank you everyone ππ

Please take into account the extremely hot weather this week.
Player welfare risk is the main concern with temperatures approaching 34Β°C.
For adults:
Schedule play before 11am or after 5pm if possible.
Increase changeovers and water breaks.
Watch for dizziness, headache, nausea, unusual fatigue, or cramps.
Older players and those with heart conditions are at higher risk of heat illness.
For club sessions:
Consider shortening sessions.
Ensure shade is available off court.
Encourage players to stop before they feel unwell rather than trying to "push through."
