Just a reminder about the Leicestershire Tennis Festival - it's a great event, held across 9 days. All matches are arranged for you and there are lots of events for all standards of tennis.

Not entered before ? Perhaps try one of the handicap singes/doubles events. You will receive/give points depending on how your standard of play compares with your opponents.

It's always popular with Oadby members and there have been lots of club winners/finalists across all events over the years.

Congratulations to Oadby Ladies 5th team who cane top of Division 6 and have gained promotion!

Congratulations to OGTC’s Matt Howse who, with his partner Liam Hignett, were finalists at the M25 tournament in Balio, Spain last week, narrowly losing 7-10 in the match tie break.

A great week for some of our Oadby folk at the Nottingham open this week. Jack had a great opportunity and experience being a hitter for the players all week hitting with top ATP and WTA players. Alhassan and Safi Ullah also got the opportunity to represent Leicestershire in the 12U (captained by Ben) and 10U inter regional friendly tournament at the weekend on the brand new clay courts. A great experience to be in and around the grounds for them too and watch some professional tennis.

A great season for our team tennis teams. Our men’s team stayed in the national division after promotion last year. But huge congrats to our ladies team who came top of the national division and now go to national finals in West Hants for the first time in the club’s history. Big well done to captain and club coach Tabitha and the rest of the team Kerry, Charlotte, Emily, Amy and Kate who all played their part.

Summer camps for beginners and intermedjate players are now live for booking. Limited spaces available over the summer holidays.

As of Friday 22nd May, 5 of our ladies’ teams are currently TOP of their respective division (and the other one is 2nd). This has to be a record in all 80 years of tennis Oadby Granville !!!
