What is the Answer for Growing The Sport? Traditionalist or NextGEN, What does the future hold? How does Bowls become popular to all age groups, Minus 30 Players, Thirty Somethings, 40/50 and Pending Retirees???

WHAT’S KILLING OUR SPORT THE MOST?
It’s a tough subject but an important one… and sharing reasons and ideas through social media is a great way to help clubs help each other to keep our sport strong and maybe reverse the effects of why our sport is in decline.
14 years ago in the UK, there were junior competitions and tournaments held most weekends which were completely full… nowadays, I can count on one hand the tournaments I see across the season.
I am speaking on behalf of the sport in the UK but other parts of the World may be doing okay… which would be great to hear and ideas shared would be so helpful!
Even if it’s not depleting where you’re from… what do you think the main reason for our sport declining could be?

👍🏼 - Ageing population, struggle to encourage youth into the game
❤️ - Resistance to change and bring fresh ideas and / or flexibility into our game
😢 - Poor marketing / promotion where clubs don’t know how to advertise their clubs in a modern, effective way
😮 - Rising costs of green maintenance, membership fees, equipment etc
Or maybe something else…
