How about that yesterday then? What a day! 🎶🍻

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to Gig on the Green yesterday and helped make it such a roaring success. Seeing the green full of people enjoying themselves, listening to live music and supporting our local bowling club was absolutely fantastic.

A massive thank you to The Chris Trenam Band and The Locals for providing the soundtrack to a brilliant afternoon. 🎸🎤 You were both fantastic!

And, of course, we couldn’t have done it without the amazing volunteers who gave up their time, worked tirelessly behind the scenes and helped make the whole day so special. Your hard work, enthusiasm and commitment to our community means so much. 👏💚

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended, supported us and helped create such a brilliant atmosphere.

This was about bringing our community together, and yesterday showed exactly what can happen when we do that.

From all of us at New Wortley Bowling Club – thank you! 💚

💚💛 A GREAT AFTERNOON FOR NEW WORTLEY! 💛💚

Another fantastic team performance saw our Thursday Veterans record an excellent 28–23 victory over Middleton Community, with an aggregate score of 130–119.

It was a real squad effort, with some superb performances across the green helping us secure another valuable win.

⭐ Player of the Match: Steve Morley
A composed and clinical display that set the standard from the very first end. Congratulations, Steve! 👏

Our Wednesday Half Holiday team put in a stellar performance this afternoon - meaning that promotion from division 3 is in our own hands with 2 games left to play.

Player of the match was Val Dawson who played an amazing game and contributed to the win.

It wasn’t the result we wanted on Tuesday night, but there was plenty to be proud of.

A narrow 33-31 defeat to Saville Park showed once again just how far this team has come. Every week this group continues to compete, improve and prove they belong in Division One.

With just two league games remaining, we’re still 17 points clear of the relegation places, with a trip to Chapel Allerton followed by a final home fixture against Churwell Park to round off the season.

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support the team week in, week out. Your encouragement makes a real difference, and we’ll be giving everything to finish the season on a high.

The improvement throughout the season has been there for everyone to see, and performances like this are a real credit to the commitment and hard work of the whole squad.

A big thank you to Calverley YP for an enjoyable evening of bowling, and to everyone who came down to support.
