Struggling to get back into a consistent exercise routine? ๐Ÿ‘‹

Meet our lovely member Louise ๐Ÿ’ช

Louise wanted to get back to feeling fit and make exercise a regular part of her week again.

But with previous shoulder injuries, and having already been through physio, she wanted to make sure she could train safely around her body rather than worrying about making things worse.

She also knew that having some accountability would help her stay consistent.

Thatโ€™s where True came in ๐Ÿ˜Š

With knowledgeable, welcoming coaches, flexible bookings and a programme tailored around her, Louise has been able to build a routine that works for her.

Sheโ€™s now:

โœ… Training consistently 3x per week
โœ… Massively improved her overall body strength
โœ… Enjoying every session
โœ… Getting the right guidance and support depending on how her body feels that day

Because some days you feel great, and other days your body needs something a little different. Louiseโ€™s training can adapt with her, while still helping her make progress ๐Ÿ™Œ

Brilliant work, Louise. Keep it up!

Do you really need to feel motivated to exercise? ๐Ÿค”

We all have those days.

Workโ€™s been busy. Energy is low. Youโ€™ve got a hundred other things you could be doing... and exercise is probably the last thing you fancy.

Thatโ€™s why relying on motivation alone can make consistency so difficult.

The members you see here donโ€™t wake up excited to train every single time ๐Ÿ˜…

Theyโ€™ve simply built exercise into their routine and keep showing up, even on the days when motivation isnโ€™t quite there.

Because looking after your future health isnโ€™t about being perfect.

Itโ€™s about building a routine you can stick to, and doing something today that your future self will thank you for ๐Ÿ’ช

Motivation comes and goes.

Consistency is what makes the difference ๐Ÿ™Œ

Theyโ€™re coaching, pushing and motivating you on the gym floor every day... but do our Wetherby coaches actually practise what they preach? ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ’ช

We asked the team what a typical week of training looks like for them, and more importantly, why they choose to exercise.

From strength training and running to football, Pilates, HYROX and Strongwoman training, everyoneโ€™s routine looks a little different.

And their reasons are different too.

๐Ÿ’ช To feel strong and confident
๐Ÿง  To support their mental health and clear their head
โšฝ To perform better at the sports they love
๐Ÿ˜Š To enjoy the routine and feel good day to day
โค๏ธ And to stay fit, strong and active for the future

Because thereโ€™s no single โ€œrightโ€ way to exercise.

The best routine is one that works for you, gives you a reason to keep showing up, and helps you keep doing the things you love for years to come ๐Ÿ™Œ

Always found gyms a bit boring? Duncan did too... ๐Ÿ‘‹

Meet our awesome member, Duncan ๐Ÿ’ช

Duncan joined True wanting to be healthier, build strength and futureproof his body, but he also knew he needed the right accountability and guidance to keep him on track.

Rather than rushing through exercises, having a coach there has helped Duncan slow things down, focus on his technique and make sure heโ€™s doing everything properly.

And itโ€™s paying off ๐Ÿ™Œ

Duncan is now:

โœ… Training consistently 3x per week
โœ… Stronger, fitter and healthier
โœ… Moving with better form and technique

But just as importantly, heโ€™s actually enjoying his training:

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œIn the past I've always found gyms boring, but as well as feeling great, Iโ€™m still absolutely loving it.โ€

Duncan puts a lot of that down to the trainers being supportive and genuinely interested in helping him train properly.

And no matter how he feels walking in, he always leaves feeling better for getting his exercise done.

Brilliant work, Duncan. Keep it up! ๐Ÿ‘

Summer is in full swing... and it's here be enjoyed โ˜€๏ธ

But staying consistent with a few simple habits can make a big difference.

Hereโ€™s Olivia with some tips to help you stay on track over summer ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ’ช Keep your protein intake up
You might train a little less while youโ€™re away or enjoying summer plans, and thatโ€™s okay. Keeping your protein intake consistent helps support muscle maintenance and recovery, even when your usual training routine changes.

๐Ÿ“… Get your sessions in the calendar
Fail to prepare, prepare to fail! Look ahead and sandwich your training around holidays, weekends away and other plans. And if you are going away, get that first session back booked in before you leave. It gives you something to come straight back to.

๐Ÿ˜Š Donโ€™t chase perfection
Take the pressure off yourself. Missing a workout or having a week that looks different wonโ€™t undo your progress. Enjoy yourself, do what you can, and simply pick things back up at your next opportunity.

A little consistency over summer can make getting back into your normal routine much easier ๐Ÿ™Œ

Our focus for August: staying consistent over summer โ˜€๏ธ

Holidays, trips away, long weekends, family plans... routines naturally change at this time of year.

And that's exactly why consistency is the focus in this month's True Monthly Member Video ๐ŸŽฏ

It doesn't have to mean being perfect or sticking rigidly to your normal routine.

It's about avoiding that all-or-nothing mindset and finding some level of consistency that works for you.

๐ŸŽฅ Watch this short extract from our August Member Video, as Luke and Tom chat about why keeping some momentum over the summer can make such a difference.

Enjoy the holidays, enjoy the sun loungers... and keep things ticking along! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Ever feel like an injury has knocked you completely off track? ๐Ÿ’ญ

Meet Gabriella, our lovely member at True ๐Ÿ‘‹

Gabriella joined True wanting to tone up, build strength, and get back to exercising after struggling with a back injury.

She also had a bigger goal in mind... getting stronger for tennis and feeling confident in herself again.

Like so many people, she knew what she wanted to achieve, but without the right structure, accountability, and guidance, it was difficult to make consistent progress. Throw in a busy schedule, and exercise was always the first thing to slip.

That's where True made the difference.

With a personalised programme, expert coaching every session, and a welcoming environment, Gabriella found a routine that worked around her life and gave her the confidence to train again.

Now she's:

โœ… Training consistently 4 times a week
โœ… Lost weight and toned up ๐Ÿ’ช
โœ… Back out running, pain-free
โœ… Stronger than ever, both in the gym and on the tennis court ๐ŸŽพ
โœ… Feeling healthier, more confident, and enjoying exercise again

Top work, Gabriella. Here's to getting even stronger! ๐Ÿ‘

Say hello to Tom! ๐Ÿ‘‹

If you've trained at True Wetherby over the last few weeks, chances are you've already met our new Gym Manager, Tom!

Tom joins the team with a real passion for helping people build strength, improve their confidence, and create habits that last. His coaching is all about making consistent progress through expert guidance, encouragement, and celebrating the small wins along the way.

Before joining True, Tom has worked across personal training, online coaching, and even running his own gym, bringing years of experience to the team.

When he's not coaching, you'll usually find him strength training, hiking in the Lake District, or... enjoying a slice of banana bread (or a bag of Galaxy Counters ๐Ÿ˜…).

One quote that Tom loves is:

๐Ÿ’ฌ "Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most."

We're delighted to have Tom as part of Team True, supporting both our members and coaches every day.

If you haven't already, be sure to say hello when you're next in the gym! ๐Ÿ‘‹

"I'm too old to start strength training." ๐Ÿค”

It's one of the biggest myths we hear.

So... we asked some of our Wetherby members what they thought.

๐Ÿ“บ Their answers say it all!

The truth is, strength training isn't about lifting the heaviest weights or trying to turn back the clock.

It's about building a body that lets you keep doing the things you love.

Whether that's walking the dog, spending quality time with family, travelling, gardening, or simply feeling confident in everyday life.

It's never too late to become stronger and healthier.

You just need the right guidance, the right environment, and the confidence to get started.

Have a listen to what our members had to say... we couldn't have put it better ourselves.๐Ÿ’™

Want to keep doing the things you love as you get older? ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒฟ

Meet Ian, one of our awesome members at True ๐Ÿ‘‹

Ian's goal has never been about lifting the heaviest weights in the gym.

He trains because he wants to stay strong enough to enjoy long walks with his wife, travel to see family, and keep living life without being held back.

Like many people, Ian had picked up a few minor injuries over the years. He knew that walking was great exercise, but he also knew he needed to build strength to support his joints, muscles and bones for the years ahead.

That's why he joined True.

With a personalised programme, expert coaching every session, flexible bookings, and a welcoming community around him, Ian has found a routine he genuinely enjoys and has stuck to consistently.

Now Ian is:

โœ… Training 3 times a week
โœ… Feeling stronger and more energised
โœ… Building strength that's making a real difference on his walks
โœ… Continuing to increase the weights he's lifting in the gym ๐Ÿ’ช
โœ… More confident, happier, and always smiling when he trains ๐Ÿ˜Š

Walking is fantastic for your health... but as we get older, strength training alongside it is what helps keep us strong, capable and doing the things we love for years to come.

Brilliant work, Ian. Keep it up! ๐Ÿ‘
