Very Sad day in the dance world. 💔

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Phil Winston, a much-loved and long-standing member of the IDTA community.

Phil was a Past President of the Association, as well as a highly respected Director Emeritus and Examiner. His contribution to the organisation and to the wider world of dance was exceptional, and he will be remembered with great admiration and affection. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

‼️Access to schools drop-in tomorrow (Tuesday 3 Feb) at Starlight Dance Academy.‼️

Tomorrow there will be a drop-in session between 15:00 and 19:00 at Starlight Dance Studio on Rookwood Road as part of a consultation around making walking to schools in the area safer.

Councillor Asghar Khan, Councillor Nkele Manaka and I have called for CCTV to be installed to observe the park on Rookwood Road, the bridge over the railway (opposite the park), and the ginnel further down Rookwood Road leading to Wykebeck Avenue. This consultation offers residents the opportunity to back us up and request funding for the installation of cameras for everyone’s safety.
