⚽️📢 𝗙𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗖𝗨𝗣 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 – 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘
The Leeds & District FA is pleased to announce plans to introduce 𝗙𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, with the first competitions expected to commence during the 2026/27 season.

To ensure these competitions are developed in a sustainable way, the introduction of female cup competitions will be 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀. Our ambition is to establish a full programme of female district cup competitions across multiple age groups within the next 3–4 seasons.

Before finalising our plans, we are seeking feedback from clubs across the Leeds & District FA area.

We would be grateful if the 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 of each club could complete and submit our questionnaire, providing details of:

✅ Female teams currently affiliated to the club
✅ Age groups that may wish to participate
✅ Expected levels of interest in District Cup competitions
✅ Feedback to help shape future competition formats

To support the development and future growth of our Female District Cup Competitions, we are also seeking volunteers to assist with:

⚽ Competition administration
⚽ Fixture scheduling and management
⚽ Recording results and competition progress
⚽ Match Day and Cup Final support
