Mon club training- 6.30-7.30pm TN track in summer
Tues - walking group 7pm
Wed club run all club - from 7pm

⭐️ HARRIERS HIGHLIGHTS - JUNE ⭐️
Just like England the Harriers have been WINNING this month with a 1st place at TN Park Run and Roundhay Half Marathon 🥇
Aswell as those incredible achievements we’ve had members at the Sheffield Round, Leeds 10k, Harrogate 10k, Iceland (no not the supermarket but ACTUAL Iceland) half, Lindley 10k, West Yorkshire Trail Run, Shadwell 10k, Filey 10k, Bolton 70.3 triathlon, Grimsby 10k, park run tourism and 100 milestones aswell as our weekly training sessions and club runs. 👟
We were also heavily involved in the Terry Midgley Handicap with runners and marshals - a race close to our heart as Terry ran proudly for CGH and STAC before he sadly passed away. The race raises funds for a London Marathon place and our very own Neil bagged third place! 🏆
Here’s to July - is it coming home though? ⚽️🏴

On Tuesday our members Nicky, Jilly and Andy and our blind runner Saj volunteered with the local Girl Guides to talk about guide running and do a training session on the track. They also tried out Andy’s goggles that show what it’s like to have different types of visual impairment.
The Guides were very inspired to hear how Saj has ran two marathons and many of them said they’d like to guide run in the future 🫶
A huge thanks to our members for making it such a great session and inspiring our younger runners. This is why keeping the track is so important. To help fund it sign up for our Track Restoration Fund Run 10k in August - details on previous posts 🏃🏼♀️

Not only is the medal a goodie but we’ll have The Leeds Warrior himself Josh Warrington opening the race. Starting at the track and continuing through the grounds of Temple Newsam the race has beautiful views throughout with a mixture of trail and paths. It’s not to be missed!

Our members did the Track Restoration Fund Run route last night and would you look at that view… if that’s not a reason to sign up I don’t know what is? Although we’ve got an announcement for another reason coming tonight so keep your eyes peeled… 🌞

As runners hydration is key and we were lucky enough to receive a batch of .uk just as marathon training for a lot of our members started.
Used for club runs and training sessions we got marathon and race ready while keeping hydrated. Thank you Liquid I.V. 💦

Huge well done to everyone who came along to last nights session. Fartleks in the sunshine, track work, and an amazing atmosphere with everyone supporting each other from start to finish. The track is having some maintenance done this week so we timed this just right!

🏆RUNNER OF THE MONTH: MAY🏆
This month’s award goes to Crossgates Harriers’ very own Forrest Gump... Luke!
Luke set himself an incredible challenge: 4 marathons in 4 weeks. Not only did he take on the challenge, but he absolutely smashed it, showing outstanding commitment, determination, and resilience throughout the month. An achievement like this takes serious dedication, both physically and mentally, and Luke has been an inspiration to everyone at the club.
Congratulations, Luke – a thoroughly deserved Runner of the Month award! 🎉🏅
