Club Growth Tips: Better Communication Builds Stronger Clubs 📣

One of the biggest challenges facing sports clubs isn't attracting members—it's keeping everyone informed.

Poor communication often leads to missed payments, lower event attendance, unanswered messages and volunteers spending hours repeating the same information. The clubs that communicate well tend to have more engaged members, stronger retention and fewer administrative headaches.

A simple way to improve communication is to be proactive rather than reactive. Share key dates early, communicate regularly throughout the season and don't assume members have seen your last message. A well-timed reminder can significantly increase attendance, responses and payment completion rates.

It's also important to think about relevance. Not every message needs to go to every member. Parents, coaches, players, volunteers and committee members all need different information, and targeted communication is often far more effective than sending club-wide messages.
