1. We were thrilled to get a snea preview of B***e B***e Sangeet's rehearsal last week.
2. SAA-UK are bringing us beautiful dance and music.
3. Echo Ground Dance Company are working with NSCD students to perform an adaptation of Echos Across Islands.

Monday 27th July 2026 - Friday 31st July 2026
10am – 4pm
Our five-day NSCD Summer School is a practical, creative and challenging experience for young dancers aged 12-17 (open level) and adults aged 18+ (dance students, graduates & professionals).
Delivered by NSCD lecturing staff, alumni and associate artists, the NSCD Summer School gives dancers an insight into life at NSCD, through the opportunity to:
- Take daily technique classes and creative sessions
- Meet and work with other keen like-minded dancers
- Performance showcase on the final day
- Engage with staff, students and artists at NSCD
Each strand will be working with a professional choreographer to create a piece of work to be performed at the end of the week.
This year's choreographers include:
Strand 1 (ages 12-14) : Mayowa Ogunnaike
Strand 2.1 (ages 15-17) : Sandrine Monin
Strand 2.2 (ages 15-17: Shirley Lok
Strand 3 (ages 18+) : Tom Roden

Inspired by our Founder, Nadine Senior's, intergration of physical education and dance whilst teaching at Harehills Middle School, our Kick Off boys dance group have choreographed a new dance performance exploring how sport and dance come together.
This energetic and athletic performance is part of Party in the Park, so come along and enjoy a day of dance, music, performance, art and more. Join us from 11:30 - 17:00, in Norma Hutchinson Park on Saturday 11th July 2026.
Our brilliant Youth Company debuted their new performance last night, and you can catch it again at Party in the Park, our family festival to celebrate 40 years of NSCD.
The Youth Company's performance takes inspiration from their own journeys as dancers and has a specially created score by our resident Musicians James Squire and Danny Templeman.
Hear the voices of this next generation of dance artists and celebrate our 40 years of dance education from 11:30 - 17:00 on Saturday 11th July, in Norma Hutchinson Park. Everybody welcome!
