Pushing through fear has been one of the biggest challenges in my lifting journey.

For a long time, the sn**ch held me back. It wasn’t a lack of desire or effort—it was the fear of getting under the bar. That fear knocked my confidence and made competing feel out of reach.

But recently, I hit a milestone that means more to me than any number on the barbell. I overcame a mental barrier I’d been carrying for a long time, and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of.

🗣️So, I’m making it official 🙈

This year, I’m committing to stepping onto the competition platform.

It’s a little scary saying it out loud, but growth doesn’t happen by staying comfortable. Whatever happens on competition day, I’ll be proud by refusing to let fear make my decisions.

Here’s to trusting the process, continuing to learn, and proving to myself that I’m capable of more than I once believed.

Am I nervous? Absolutely!

✨If there’s one thing I hope my clients take from this, it’s that growth begins the moment you stop letting fear make your decisions. Whether your goal is lifting your first barbell, running your first 5K, losing weight, getting stronger, or simply believing in yourself again, don’t wait until you feel fearless. Start anyway.

I’m excited to see where this journey takes me, and I hope it reminds you that you’re capable of far more than you think.

A little win I’m really proud of today! 💪

I’ve been stuck at a 29kg sn**ch for what feels like forever, mainly because I had a fear of getting under the bar. Today I finally broke through that barrier and hit 3 x 30.5kg sn**ches! 🎉

It’s only 1.5kg more, but sometimes the biggest progress isn’t just on the bar—it’s overcoming what’s in your head. Here’s to building confidence and keeping going! 🏋️‍♀️

Today was a tough session…when doubt sets in it’s really hard to change that mindset but persistence pays off eventually and I’ve really pushed myself towards achieving those goals! What goals do you have….mine is to compete in a competition and make that dream a reality!

PT Debbie and FIT Busters will be teaching exercise classes at this years Meanwood Festival on Saturday 20th June from 12 till 6pm. Specific times will follow soon.

Following the mainstream media with the narrative of strength training Debbie and I will be teaching sessions of this nature!

Debbie will be delivering MetaPWR
sessions.

MetaPWR is a circuit based class using equipment such as kettlebells, slam balls, battle ropes, and bodyweight movements. It’s designed to improve power, strength, agility, and metabolic conditioning.

I will be delivering resistance band sessions.

Unlike free weights that rely solely on gravity and create maximum stress at the start of a lift, bands provide continuous tension that accommodates your body's natural strength curve. This places far less strain on joints.

Bands are a staple in physical therapy because they promote a deep, safe range of motion, improving overall flexibility and reducing lower back and knee pain.

The classes will be fun, inclusive and adaptable, which helps foster a strong sense of community within group training. With engaging formats that will keep all participants motivated, we are looking forward to seeing you! Please comment if you would like to attend and have any questions.
