One of Sand Moor’s sternest tests, the 6th demands accuracy from the outset.

Favour the left side from the tee while avoiding the two fairway bunkers—anything right of centre can kick farther right and leave part, or all, of the green blocked.

From the left, the natural slope can be used to gather the approach onto the putting surface, taking the three bunkers guarding the front and right out of play.
