Every Monday you tell yourself…

“This week will be different.”

You buy the healthy food.

Plan the workouts.

Promise yourself you’ll stick to it this time.

Then life happens.

You miss one workout.

Have one takeaway.

Eat a few biscuits in the office.

And suddenly…

The week is “ruined.”

So you start again next Monday.

The hardest part isn’t that you keep restarting.

It’s that every time you do…

You break another promise to yourself.

After a while…

You stop trusting yourself.

You stop believing you’ll actually follow through.

You stop believing you’re the kind of person who can lose weight and keep it off.

But here’s what I want you to know…

Self-belief doesn’t come before action.

It comes because of action.

Every workout you complete.

Every walk you go on.

Every meal where you choose to keep going instead of giving up.

You’re rebuilding trust with yourself.

One promise at a time.

And one day…

You’ll stop saying,

“I hope I can do it.”

And start saying,

“I know I can.”

You keep waiting to feel motivated.

Like one day you’ll wake up…

Excited to go to the gym.

Excited to meal prep.

Excited to say no to the takeaway.

But motivation doesn’t work like that.

Laura didn’t have loads of free time.

She was raising kids, lots of them🤣

Studying for a degree.

Doing placements.

Some days she was exhausted.

Some days she probably couldn’t be bothered.

But she stopped waiting to feel like it.

She showed up anyway.

Fast forward to now…

She’s 2 and a half stone down.

The body she has today wasn’t built on the days she felt motivated.

It was built on the days she didn’t…

And still did the work.

Because motivation comes and goes.

Your goals don’t.

Stop waiting until you feel like it.

The women who get the results you want aren’t motivated all the time…

They’ve just learnt to keep showing up when motivation disappears.

And that’s exactly what Laura did🤍

You don’t lose motivation because you’re not making progress.

You lose motivation because you don’t see the progress you’re making.

You expect your body to reward you every week with a lower number on the scales.

And when it doesn’t…

You assume nothing’s happening.

So you question yourself.

You question the plan.

You wonder if you should change something.

Or give up altogether.

But imagine if every time you did something right…

You actually gave yourself credit for it.

You hit your steps? That’s progress.

You cooked instead of ordering a takeaway? That’s progress.

You added weight to the bar? That’s progress.

You walked past the biscuit tin at work? That’s progress.

You kept a promise to yourself? That’s progress.

Fat loss isn’t just about changing your body.

It’s about changing your habits.

Because if you become the person who consistently looks after themselves…

The body you’re chasing eventually follows.

Stop waiting for the scales to tell you you’re doing a good job.

You’ll be surprised how much further you get when you start recognising your wins before the scales do🤍

You’re probably not stuck because you don’t know what to do.

You’re stuck because you keep convincing yourself the answer must be somewhere else.

Another meal plan.

Another workout.

Another supplement.

Another “secret.”

So every time progress slows...

You change the plan.

And every time you change the plan...

You go right back to the beginning.

The basics were probably working.

You just left before they had chance to pay off.

You don’t need another meal plan.

You don’t need another workout.

You don’t need another supplement.

You need to give the basics enough time to actually work.

Lift weights.

Eat enough protein.

Hit your steps.

Repeat.

It isn’t exciting.

It won’t go viral.

But it works.

Instead of asking yourself...

“What else should I be doing?”

Start asking yourself...

“Have I actually given the basics enough time?”

Because your dream body probably isn’t hiding behind another meal plan.

It’s on the other side of doing the boring things consistently 🤍

Getting dressed shouldn’t be the hardest part of your day.

But when you don’t feel good in your body...

It is.

You stand in front of the wardrobe.

Try on outfit after outfit.

Not because you don’t have anything to wear...

Because you don’t feel confident in the clothes you actually want to wear.

So you settle.

For the top that hides your stomach.

The leggings that feel “safe.”

The outfit you don’t really love.

You tell yourself you’ll wear the other clothes when you’ve finally lost the weight.

That’s exactly how she felt.

Stuck in the same cycle.

Wanting a smaller waist.

Wanting to feel good again.

Fast forward to now...

6.5kg down in 6 weeks

She doesn’t choose clothes based on what covers her up.

She chooses them because she genuinely loves wearing them.

She has the shape she worked so hard for.

And she finally feels good in her body again.

Because the goal was never just to lose weight.

It was to stop letting your body dictate how you live your life 🤍
