Active Future East Leeds & Wakefield

Bit of a different post this time but we wanted to give a massive thank you to Claire Urquhart Betteridge for her kind donation of nerf and XSHOT blasters.

Claire reached out to us and explained she had lots of blasters to donate and they were in fact her late husbands, Andrew Betteridge, who sadly passed away in February this year from lung cancer.

Andrew spent many years working for the NHS and used the blasters as a way to cheer up his patients.

In receipt of the blasters we have made a donation to Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation as this is a charity close to Claire and Andrew’s hearts. We ask if you find yourself with some money to donate to please consider this charity as the work they do is fantastic.

Thank you once again to Claire and Andrew, the blasters will make a lot of young people happy and we hope we can help Andrew’s memory live on through this 💜

🏐 Our dodgeballers had a fantastic session today in the heat! Loads of fun games without too much running meant we were all able to conserve energy and work hard!

🔥 Thanks to a fantastic donation, we were able to test all sorts of new guns! The boys had a great time working out which guns suited which games!
