The points may not have counted, but another valuable pre-season test is complete as Yorkshire Ammers SU FC played out a goalless draw away to Crowle Colts FC.

A disciplined defensive display, plenty of hard work across the pitch and another important 90 minutes under the belt as preparations for the 2026/27 season continue.

A big thank you to everyone who made the journey to support the lads yesterday evening, and to Crowle Colts FC for their hospitality. We wish them the very best for the season ahead.

Following his appointment as Reserve Team Manager, we sat down with Mono Hamilton to discuss his connection to Yorkshire Amateur, his ambitions for the reserve team, the importance of the pathway into senior football, and what players and supporters can expect this season.

Mono joins us after a hugely successful spell with Yorkshire Amateur Juniors, where he has spent a number of years developing talented young players and building highly competitive teams.

His most recent U18 side enjoyed an outstanding season, lifting the County Cup, Leeds & District Cup, and League Cup, while narrowly missing out on the league title in what was an exceptional campaign.
