A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT TO SEE 😍

Families and children enjoying themselves on a summer's evening.🌞🌞🌞

This is what doesn't get seen by officials as they don't work weekends and evenings in most part.

This was at 20:15 last night

The litter in the park is more noticeable due to more areas of the park 'being removed', inadequate sized bins and the 'damages' simply due to over use not vandalism.

Of course like everywhere there's always some wrong uns to try spoil it for others but the vast majority are respectful and appreciate the park.

Something we love to see and we have many visitors when we are in the greens on a daily basis mostly from children who attend our events asking when the next one is 😍

Councillors please take note. We need more for families in this park not taking the space away so more can't enjoy it.

The playground isn't fit for purpose and was promised a new one, when will that be??

A 6am drink for the green. Not too much to slow it down just enough to keep it cool (er) πŸ₯΅

Proud to have grass on our green at this point and definitely don't want it to die off too much πŸ™πŸ™

WHAT'S ON THIS WEEK 🧐

Team Harehills play away at Garforth Country Club this evening with a KO of 6:30pm. Doing better in this league as the newer members of the team gain experience πŸ™Œ a win would be lovely but don't expect an easy game tonight!

Tomorrow is the cup round for the vets but played their quarter final early defeating Savile Park earlier in May. We eagerly await to see who we play in the semi finals...will it be Drighlington or Gildersome?? They play their quarter final match tomorrow over at Stanningley Park Crown Green Bowling Club - good luck to both teams!

Another cup on Wednesday in the Crossgates evening league we challenge Kippax Valley Ridge just up the road at Manston Park for the Turpsoft shield. Can we make it through to the semi finals ?? KO 6:30pm! πŸ™

Our only home fixture this week we welcome Scholes to our greens on Thursday in the Tadcaster Evening League a 6:45pm start in this league.

Also on Thursday we have a volunteer maintenance day. The glorious weather brings with it life, and the 'weeds' around both greens have thrived. We have managed to clear the top green with thanks to various volunteers but David and Marie along with Peter have been working hard to achieve this over the last few days. The bottom green has a new forest surrounding it so the challenge this week is to be able to see that beautiful bottom green more clearly 🀣

Last but by no means least, on Sunday we have some Harehills team representing Leeds playing against Flintshire/SADDLEWORTH and also have the privilege of hosting the home leg of this match at Harehills Park Bowling Club starting at 2pm

Do come along to enjoy an afternoon of good bowling

Work still underway for our upcoming event COMMON HEALTH GAMES
Crown Green Bowling fun for all the family! If you'd like to be involved please do get in touch!

Have a great week!

Today we supported this event in Harehills Park with toilets and refreshments for participants and staff.

More than "just a bowling club" πŸ€—
An absolute pleasure to be able to help out.

Our new water fountain was taken advantage too! πŸ‘Š
