Everyone at Avenue would like to wish Aiden Maries and the Bowls England Under-25 squad the very best of luck as they compete in the British Bowls Under 25 International Series this weekend.

Representing your country is a tremendous achievement, and we're incredibly proud to see Aiden wearing the England shirt on the international stage once again.

The competition takes place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, just a short distance from Avenue.

Congratulations to Karl Finch, who completed a remarkable double at Avenue's Club Finals Weekend by winning both the Men's Championship and the Men's Handicap Singles. 🏆🏆

The victory in the Men's Championship Singles was particularly special, as it marked Karl's fourth Championship Singles title and his first since 1999, having enjoyed success at other clubs across Warwickshire before returning to Avenue in 2019.

WARDROP CUP WINNERS 2026! 🏆

We are Wardrop Cup champions once again after a superb 3-2 victory over defending champions Whitnash BC in a closely contested final at Nuneaton BC.

The win sees us lift the trophy for the seventh time in the club's history and secure our first Wardrop Cup success since 2023.

Congratulations to everyone who played their part in a fantastic team performance throughout the competition and in the final. 🙌

Last Saturday was a special day for Avenue as we welcomed the Lawn Bowls Association of Hong Kong, China national team to Leamington as part of their preparations for the 2027 World Bowls Championships.

With the Championships coming to Victoria Park and being hosted by Bowls England in 2027, it was a fantastic opportunity for our members to test themselves against international opposition and experience the standard of bowls played on the world stage.

The day featured a full programme of men's and women's matches, with Avenue bowlers joined by friends from other local clubs.

A huge thank you to everyone who represented Avenue, helped organise the day, and to High Performance Manager Robin Chok and the Hong Kong team for their visit. We wish them every success on their journey to Leamington 2027!
