On Saturday we held our annual Burton Bash Hockey Festival to celebrate the life of Ben Burton and raise funds for the The Brain Tumour Charity and The Myton Hospices.

This included:
✅Junior Tournament with over 120 kids 🏑
✅Mixed Adult match with Team Burton as champions
✅ +£2,500 raised for the charities
✅ 6 Clubs coming together to support the charities

On Tuesday, our Men’s Summer A Team took on Warwick Hockey Club and came away with a hard-fought 2–1 victory! 💪🏑

On Sunday, some of our juniors had the fantastic opportunity to be part of the Ball Patrol at the FIH Pro League at Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Centre, where both the England Men’s and Women’s teams took on Australia. 🏑🇬🇧🇦🇺

Not only did they get to be on the pitch throughout the matches, but they also had the honour of carrying the national flags onto the pitch before the games.

It was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved, and our juniors had an amazing day representing the club and getting up close to international hockey.

A huge thank you to England Hockey for providing such a brilliant opportunity! 👏💙

The official hockey season may be over, but KL Hockey Club never stops.

While our ladies’ and men’s teams compete in the Summer League over the coming months, we’ll also be hosting a range of events and activities for all ages throughout the summer.

Sarah Gambling will represent the England O50s Masters squad at the 4 Nations this weekend, and again at the Masters World Cup in Rotterdam this July.

Kez Luckett has also been selected for the England O45s Masters team, competing at both the 4 Nations this weekend and the World Cup in Rotterdam this July.

Meanwhile, Emma Olifent and Caz McCabe have been selected for the England O50s Masters B squad heading to the World cup. Emma will take on the role of Vice Captain, with Caz proudly captaining the side.
